There was a cartoon from the middle east that had a hijab girl as the MC iirc

School teacher by day, ninja superhero by night

The worst part is how there’s an extended scene of Daphne in a school shower with a bunch of other girls and it tries being meta by talking how adult shoes use cheesecake to attract cheap early attention.

Like, lampshading tropes doesn’t necessarily make it clever, especially when the cheesecake is with explicitly underage characters.

Glitch Techs had Zahra Rashid, a middle eastern girl who was part of the main cast. Shame the show got canceled. She had a nice design.

That happens mostly as High school is a lot different in Japan and the west. You have to apply and be enrolled in them, not just go to them because of where you live in conjunction with it.

What Mindy is doing is just her egotism of the people that she felt wronged her in high school and using a franchise as a skinsuit, but she seems to have a history of being sexual with people that don’t want it and then threatening to fire them. Much like how “Fred” faces jailtime if not of “Velma” in some way and he’ll most likely end up indebted to her, even if she causes most of his problems.

It does feel a little discusting how Velma’s parents are treated too.

They’re portrayed as gross. Or Velma is a horrible daughter to them.

It feels a little ungrateful for the immigrant parents who raised you and made you not have to do the hard work they did.

I say a case of jealousy with Midny and also the other executives in charge of this. Scooby Doo, Velma, Daphne, Fred, and Shaggy are quite popular names among the mystery solving team genre and pop culture.

There was an early Simpsons episode where Homer sees that he weighs 239 pounds, and calls himself a blimp.

239 pounds was considered morbidly obese in 1990.

What does student enrollment have to do with fanservice of minors in japanese sakuga?

Anyway shounen series regularly employ fanservice of underage characters with almost zero guilt. I don’t see how enrollment plays a role here.

Nami from One Piece is barely legal at 18yo and now 20, you have had a lot of characters openly lusting over her.

Lucy from Fairy Tail is 17yo, gets into sexy perilous situations a lot.

Not nearly to the same degree but half the cast of MHA females are students and have gotten their fanservice moments.

Studio Trigger meanwhile gives zero fuck and just portrays borderline H of minors, because they’re like that.

But your argument holds. It’s one thing to bake your Ms.Fanservice young or suspiciously too young (Oppai Loli or just Loli characters, regardless of actual age) because you’re an industry rebel, or from a different culture, or knows your audience or just doing what sells…but it’s another thing to be hypocrite egoist and create revenge fanfic using established franchise, and being mean about it.

Well it took long enough, but the Ghost and Molly McGee is now on Disney + to watch.
Aside from Scratch who is the best part of this show (mostly thanks to Dana Snyder “Master Shake”) but I also adora Libby
