Everybody wants a piece of Leon Edwards now.

Mokaev vs Filho in the Prelims was FOTN for me. One hell of a exciting performance. That was anime shit.

1st round it was good. Memorable moment was when Filho put the pressure standing up, forced Mokaev to shoot for a TD then immediately get guillotine’d by Filho. However, Filho couldn’t sink it in, let go and got his back taken. followed by the the first RNC attempt by Mokaev. It also was incomplete and Filho managed to get out.

2nd round was mostly nothing. They got to the ground in the later half of the round tho.

3rd round…Ho boy. Mokaev didn’t waste time and went straight for a TD, got it, but Filho wasn’t having it and got up using the fence. Mokaev insisted Filho to sit back down and got Filho’s back. Yet anoter failed RNC attempt. Filho’s rnc defense was superb, neck tucked in, hand fighting and everything. They get back up.

Mokaev shot AGAIN, Filho rolled and Mokaev got rolled over–his feet was up in the air but he don’t let go. Mokaev got Filho’s back, definitely aiming for another rnc but Filho’s controling Mokaev’s right hand and is taking potshots at Mokaev.
Filho found his chance to somehow pull a reversal and got a GOOD kneebar on Mokaev. It was DEEP! Mokaev got his knees bend 10 degrees the other direction for like twenty seconds he’s definitely in some serious trouble. We thought it was over. We thought we gon’ either see Mokaev tap or his knee popping or a stoppage by the ref. But the dude GOT OUT! CROWD WENT WILD! Mokaev immediately went on the offensive with two minutes left in the third round!

Everybody still hype of the fact that Mokaev survived, I think I see Mokaev limping slightly. Mokaev landed his final takedown with like a minute left in the round and FINALLY sunk in a good RNC with just 30s left on the clock.

Filho tapped. He was probably gassed and demoralized. Can’t blame him. Fight coulda ended with his victory just a minute prior.

Respect to both guys.

Belal Muhammad vs. Shavkat Rakhmonov is in the works circa. Dana White.

Who ya got? Can Belal end Shavkat’s streak the way he ended Sean Brady? Or will Shavkat finish Belal? For me this is gonna be a tough challenge for Shavkat.

Prime Tyson DESTROYS Lebron. Even the completely shot and disinterested Tyson that fought Lennox Lewis would knock Lebron out in the first round.

Of course… if Khamzat Chimaev MW debuts in October probably against Rob Whittaker because the venue is non other than Abu Dhabi, he’ll try to run through him but I know it ain’t that easy; man has 84% TD Defense but, hope the homecourt boost would help Khamzat get amped up.

Sometimes you should tap. An L in MMA isn’t the end of your career. This injury might be, or at least a year sitting out.
That being said, incredible courage and toughness to stay in there. If I was the corner man I may have thrown in the towel to save him from his own toughness.
