Please restore my paid commissions

Please restore my paid commissions that are under the tag oc:cloud cuddler which have been deleted without my permission.
 
I am talking about >>1831282 and I believe 2-3 others that were under this tag by artist:superanina
 
They are mine and were deleted without my permission and without asking. And they don’t break any site rules.

The deletion of those images was something the artist themself requested. We can put back up if they agree to it, but as the artist, their request take priority.

I’ve temporarily restored them so the commissioner can grab copies of them, pending a reply from the artist about how they would like the images handled.

I already assumed that to be the case since everything else except two pics under the artist tag also went missing.

Thanks for restoring them for now… However. I don’t agree that it’s fair that it comes down only to the artists decision! These were my commissions. I paid for the art. They are mine just as much as the artists even though I am not the creator of the art. It is my character and I was allowed to post them publicly.
 
The art I commission of my OC is very special to me and it is not fair if it can be censored like that for whatever the reason might be.
 
I hope this will be resolved in a respectful manner and if any information like paypal info or screenshots are needed let me know.

Thank you for commissioning artwork, but the artist retains their rights to their work. They may choose where and whether their work is displayed. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back from them.

The two pics that were not deleted were for the Derpibooru Community Collaboration, which stipulates up front that artists entering that collaboration waive any right to take the image down.
 
If your commission signed over to you the copyright of the work or assigned to you the right to upload it to any site of your choosing, please PM me a copy of the agreement and we’ll look into it.

For future reference, if you REALLY want to be able to upload stuff without the risk of it being deleted, I suggest discussing the ownership rights and sharing terms & conditions of your commissions with artists prior to purchase, and retain evidence of the agreement of your given rights over the content, it’s essentially a contractual agreement with the transaction. Most people don’t bother with any kind of legal jargon stuff when getting/doing commissions, so by default it’s assumed artists retain all rights to their content.

Just a point of reference, under US law (others may vary) artists do retain copyright except under two circumstances. First if they are under a “work-for-hire agreement”, or if they have explicitly sold the copyright to the piece in question. Unless otherwise contracted, what a commissioner owns is their copy of a piece of art, for personal use only - no distribution or online reprinting.
