Maybe, but I went with WHERE they sit, relative to Jesus, not with their poses.
And look: the poses of the CMC are exactly the same as in the original painting, so…
I think that’s a bit off. Discord is putting his hands up, which mimics the position of Andrew, not of Peter. Similarly, Pinkie is leaning forward as Bartholomew is, and Rainbow Dash is elbowing Discord as Peter is (and not Judas, whose right arm is resting on the table). By the positioning of the characters, Spike is in the place of nobody from the original, while Judas would be placed between Rainbow Dash and Discord. But there is nobody there. I personally like to interpret it as saying that in a group of true friends, there is no traitor, or that betrayal lies in the space between loyalty (or devotion, as the show also put it) and chaos.

The artist either did not think this through and misremembered the characters in the painting or he’s intentionally conveying some irony here or something deeper. Or it was just a fun collab with the only thing making sense being Twilight in the center.
I’ve always felt that, if the Magic of Friendship could be treated as a religion, and if it were to be compared to Christianity, then Twilight would not be Jesus, and Celestia would not be God, as easy as it is to imagine these things.
If the Magic of Friendship is God, then Twilight and her friends are more like the Apostles.
Also, Celestia is Moses. What does that make Luna? Well, it’s not a perfect one-to-one comparison. If the Magic of Friendship is a religion, then it’s quite different from Christianity.

Though I can still think RD ain’t a bad choice for the reasoning I stated. Got a point there. Especially with season’s 4 final. Probably would be a better fit. Rainbow for Peter perhaps?
@Xonxt
Thematically, in a weird sort of way, Rainbow being Judas makes since. The bearers of harmony to varying degrees had to struggle living up to their elements. Rainbow Dash did struggle with betrayal and that as a temptation was played up at times. Though I suppose Rarity too could fit as it was greed that caused the betrayal.
