Nice to hear that you are also big in collecting mlp fanfic books. And it is great that we apparently share a similar taste. If it is not a big problem I would love to see a picture of your collection. Also if I might ask which books are you jelly about?

Our collections are very similar! You have more than me but similar taste I can tell. Definitely a little bit jelly of a few of those items.

Fractured Sunlight was a nice book to read. Apart from the awesome story, I especially liked that Oroboro included pictures (I have the b/w version).
 
Did you hear of/know the fanfic Looking Glass by Krickis? It is the book next to Fractured Sunlight and it features the best sunset story I have read so far. It also includes some drawings and has roughly the same cost and quality as Fractured Sunlight (also a Lulu book).  
Sadly the book is currently unavailable since it gets redesigned to include even more pictures. But I no the less recommend looking into when it is available again.

Oh my god, this is my dream. Apart from some of the official books, I literally only have Fractured Sunlight.

Yep, bot art books fit pretty tight on the shelf. The Art of Equestria fit a bit too tight though. You need to use a bit force to pick it up. But this is by design, this prevents the smaller books in the row to not topple to the side. (This was a bit of a problem bevor I had the idea to put the art book at this place).
 
I can truly encourage buying pony stuff. It is a bit addicting (Though perhaps it is for not such good advice after all.). If you are interested in books, I can recommend you a list that contains 100 unique print-on-demand mlp fanfictions (I many wrote it over year ago, so I am maybe a bit biased),
 
I definitely not planning to sell my collection anytime soon. Though I have with the weird part. It does not need some decads to be is weird since it is already pretty weird. :D

I guess posting stuff like collections is prone to do such things. Sorry for that. I would love to help with recommendations to build a similar assemble of mlp stuff. So said that all of this cost money.

Let’s see how it works out. Though Gratbritten is not a part of the EU anymore, I still think an import from there would be cheaper (I am from Germany). That’s why I think the aspect of splitting up the production would still be interesting. But I have not yet imported something after the Brexit so, do not know how harsh the taxes pan out.
 
About your new books. I sometimes have the same feeling. Yesterday I ordered 17 new books. Though there were “only” official softcover books (on average 5,2 Euros per piece), It was still quite a big extension to the official part of my collection. My thought was that these books will get steely rarer and thus more expensive the next month/years. So expanding my collection sooner rather than later is probably a reasonable thing. Speaking of Brexit import, this shipment comes from the UK so I will have soon some real experience in this field. Let’s hope that the page delivery guy does not require import fees.

Wow. Modern entertainment is bad these days and the slow disappearance of our physical property rights in favour of digital distribution is disheartening.
 
But seeing people create and sell their own stories and make’em look beautiful like this is encouraging.
 
Normal people creating their own media and reducing the importance of lamestream media is awesome.
 
I ain’t into pony fan fiction But I would buy some Transformer fan fiction if it looked that good.

First of all, nice that you like my collection. And thank you for bringing up mlp manga omnibus. This was the first time I heard about it.
 
I just looked at the amazon listings and the sizes. Apparently this time the omnibus is a bit bigger than the original books (Onibus: 13.97 x 20.96 cm; Manga: 12.47 x 19.15 cm). The content per page likely is the same or better since the omnibus has 10-page extra pages content (360p vs 114p+116p+120p). So this means that the Manga is probably the better version (chapter, bigger and more content).  
But I already own the first manga volume and the omnibus size is not as big as the comic omnibus (14.91 x 22.86 cm).
 
That is why I will probably buy the Onibus instead of the reminding two volumes and give away my first volume to a friend. This is by far the better deal.

Quite the interesting collection of fanfiction books/IDW comic books. BTW are you planning on getting the complete MLP manga omnibus that’s releasing in July?

I definitely can encourage this. Over here in Germany, these official books are sold often around 5 to 10$ or 4 to 8€. I would recommend checking out the 3 Daring Do books (USA amazon link to all 3 books) and the 7 short Ponyville Mysteries soft books (There are also a comic series with complete stories under the same name).  
Furthermore, I can cause recommend also the IDW comics in the omnibus format (12 to 13 comics in a book) (USA amazon Vol1 Link) and the many pretty great official art books.
 
Speaking about fanfiction books. I can recommend my list which contains 100 unique fanfiction books. :D

Yes, Kris Overstreet is handling it himself this time. If we’re really lucky he’ll be able to do like Starscribe (Message in a Bottle, Through the Aurora) and have the books printed in both North America and Europe, but I wouldn’t bet on it. (Plus, my copies of Starscribe’s books were printed in the UK. Now that Brexit has happened, that means import tax and customs fees, just as with the US.)
 
Since I took those images I’ve added another nine books to my collection. I think I have a problem.

I think I have seen your collection on fimfiction, but I could be also mistaken it with the also big collections from djazz and Ice Star.  
Edit: During the writing of the previous sentence I fund your collection. The pictures on your fimfiction account look pretty great as well. You have decently a great taste in books. And I would of course like to see an update.:D

Thanks for the info. I definitely keep it in mind. Though I am not sure if I take part in it since it looks like both stories could cost 200$ (judging from the word count including shipment). If it is cheaper I maby thinking about it. I still need to fill the third row, and I think probably like the story. Do you know where/ who is printing Changeling Space Program and The Maretian? I am not sure but as far as I have understood it Kris Overstreet which could be interesting.

I have Nonexistent Publishing’s print of The Maretian. It ended up being quite expensive since only a few people signed up for it.
 
Kris Overstreet is working on print versions of both Changeling Space Program and The Maretian. The latter will get both a new 3-volume edition and an abridged 1-volume edition. (Source) I guess I forgot to make a thread about it in the Hardcopies group. >_<

Yep, 39 unique fanfiction books, 6 books of the Fallout Equestria PnP from Project Dead Tree, 21 official mlp books, 10 official comic book collections (120 DWI comics), and official mlp 2 art books. I did felt like that it was that much over the 2,5 years building up. But adding everything up today is still probably way too much which is resemble. Though collecting custom-made plushies definitely is in a different league.
 
The Moondance plushie was a present and the engravings (pyrography and laser cutter) were both done by me. If you like you can see much more of my projects on my DeviantArt account or directly on Derpibooru.

I have until now have not looked into The Maretian but it looks like it would fit into my collection at a first glance. But as far as I know, it is was a print run that ended. I am not sure was it done by {} / Nonexistent Publishing? Non the less I like KSP and definitely keep an eye on it.
 
About Project: Sunflower is definitely missing in my collection. It is probably after I now finally own Hard Reset the one fanfiction which is most missing. Back in Summer 2018 I talked with djazz for a book for of the reserve list but it sadly there was a misunderstanding (probably on my part) and I lost that spot for one of the last books. But I think there are talks that it there will be a reprint. If it happens I am on it as soon I know. (This is one reason why I am a passive member in the djazz discord sever).

Woo, so many hard cover fanfics in there.  
There must have cost a fortune, and the plushies and engravings too.

Looking Glass is definitely my favorite sunset fanfiction out there. I consider it even to one of most favorites on fanfiction at all time (in the top 10 of the 343 stories I know).
 
And about the nerd. I have definitely not heard the awesome audiobook of Looking Glass for a second time two days ago. And I have also definitely not listened to the thing in 30 hours. This would be truly insane since this would have meant that I had “only” 11,7h for sleep and other stuff.

Wow! I have a similarly size collection and you’re making me want to reorganise my shelves so that I can take some nice pictures like this one. I’m running out of space so everything’s spread out and a mess at the moment.

i really gotta get my ass up and look for all those official books…they’re all so nice and for sure the whole collection is really nice, at some point a couple fanfictions would be nice to have

Oh, then I have great news for you. I own “only” a fraction of the books out there. And the best part is that most of them are Print on demand. This means that you could start your very own collection today. ^^

I you like I would also recommend one of my favorite books: The Purloined Pony . It only cost under 3,50 USD and is has the bestprice-performance ratio I know. True it has only 160 pagers and is a choose your own adventure story (one read has probably 8000 words) but it is filled with a lot of love (editing) and artworks (23 b/w illustrations).

Too bad The Maretian isn’t there. Or Project: Sunflower.
