Greetings fellow Ponys.
 
Portraits.  
Many know them, even they are less known then the stained Glass Windows in Canterlot.  
Celestia once told me, their Castle was once filled with hundreds of beautiful Paintings.  
Paintings with Scenes like the Building of their Castle, who are today better known as “The Castle of the two Sisters”, the Founding of Equestria, the six Ponys who have help Equestria every Day, by moving Sun and Moon until Celetia and Luna got their Cutiemarks, and of course the second, important Groups of six Ponys, the biggest Heroes in Equestrian History, who could defeat a dangerous dark Enemy, the Pillars of Equestria.  
Nearly all of this Paintings has been destroyed, as the Castle was mostly destroyed, at something we now call “The Battle of the Sisters”, where Queen Celestia was forced to fight against her own Sister, who was corrupted into Nightmare Moon.  
After Some Weeks under the endless Night, Celestia could defeat Nightmare Moon and imprission her into a Crystal for 1000 Years.
 
This was long before I was born, around 250 Years to be exact.  
Today this lost Pictures are at their original Place again and more new Paintings, like this one here.  
The stained Glass Windows are usual only for heroic Deeds and important Events.  
So Cadance wanted to expand the Collection of Paintings with Pictures of important Ponys.  
This Painting is my Part in this Collection, as Princess, as one of the 6 Alicorns and as Member of the Harmony 7.  
The Painting was made in the Hall of the Stained Glass Windows with the Window of my ascension into an alicorn and my Coronation into a Princess in my back.  
I realy lovethe Way the Artist has paint me with my favorite Flower, the pink Rose.  
My Painting is in a special Room, together with Paintings of all my Friends and our Storys.
 
I know, you only know the Castle of the two Sisters as a Ruin, who are abandoned and only used in the Nightmare Night Events.  
In my Equestria the Castle was repaired and restored into it’s former Glory, three Years after Cadance was coroned into the Queen of Equestria.  
It’s now a well known Museum of Equestrian History, since the Royal Canterlot Museum was to small for all the Items of past Times.
 
Many well known Exhibits are there, like one of the covered Wagons formerly owned by the Pilgrims of the Smith Family, who have founded Ponyville, a Replica of a Apple Tree with rainbow colored Zap Apples and the original interior of the first Barnyard Bargins Store (the first Pillars of the Founding of Ponyville, Legacy of Granny Smith and Stinkin’ Rich given to Ponyville), the Thrones and Regalia of the Former Queens Celestia and Luna and many more.
 
The Castle has a big Library, Celestia, Twilight, Trixie and myself have create and filled with every avaiable History Book, we could get in our Hoofs.  
Additional there are a Section with “Memory Books” with thousand of donated Books with the Memorys of Ponys and who tell Storys from our World, so the Storys will not get lost, when a Pony leave this World.  
Everywhere are the Paintings from the Past as Addition to the Storys who are told by the Exhibits.
 
I realy like this Books, who was created by the Element of Magic, Princess Trixie and the Element of Knowledge, Twilight Sparkle.  
Yes, we have seven Elements. Your Universe has them too, but you never have discover the 7. Element.
 
Well now you maybe ask yourself: “But Fluttershy, you said the Paintings was destroyed, how can they be here?”.  
Ummm … that’s not something I like to remember.  
I-I still have Nightmares sometimes because of it.  
Well, this Paintings are not ours … at last not from our World.

You know, Celestia had some mystical Mirrors in Canterlot.  
With the right Spell, you can visit unlimited Variants, other Dimensions and alternate Versions of our World.  
Twilight was experimenting with the Mirrors, with the Help of Trixie, because as Earth Pony, she could not use Magic.  
One Day, they found a disturbing World.
 
It was like our Equestria, but without any Life in it.  
No Animals, no Ponys and all Plants dead and dry, under a giant red Sun.  
Canterlot was a Ruin with the big Towers collapsed to the Ground.  
There was no Ponyville, as it is in our Time, just Trees of the Everfree Forest, who was now a Field of dead Wood, without any Sign of Green.  
The Sun, who are nearly ten Times bigger as our Sun, has heaten the Land into Temperatures between 40 and 60°C (104-140°F for the few who still use it) and it was not longer moving.  
Next to it was something Strange, what looked like a very distant Cloud, even there was no other Cloud in the Sky.  
Twilight has use her Telescope and after a very long Time without a Word, she told us, it was the Moon, broken into a Band of gigantic Pieces of Rubble.  
To allow further Inspection of this World, we have need special heat repelling Clothing, mady by our famous Tailor Coco Pommel, who is running the Boutique “Carousel Couture” in Ponyville.  
With this Equipment, our little Expedition of the Harmony 7 (Princess Trixie, Dr. Twilight Sparkle, Lady Rarity Belle, General Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Sandwitch-Pie and myself), could stay in this World, without the risk of a Heatstroke or other Health Dangers.  
Queen Celestia has visit the World once too, because she wanted to try to lower the Sun, so far that it get cooler, but she could not longer reach the Sun, because it was a dying Star.  
Twilight calculated, the Sun is expanding and will destroy the Planet in the next 24 Days and nopony would be able to prevent this.  
For her Safety the Queen could not longer stay in this doomed World, so she had to retour to our Canterlot.
 
Then we started to check the Canterlot of this World.  
It was the most terrifying Thing I had to see so far in my long Life.  
The Streets of Canterlot was covered with Debris and … Bones, Skeletts of hundreds of Ponys on the Streets, in the Houses, partial buried under giant Stones who look like Parts of the Canterlot Towers, some were mummified and on some you could still see their Cutiemarks, but we found nopony I personaly know.  
Then we entered the Throne Room and could not belive what we saw.  
Half of the Room was missing, every Window was shattered and on the two Thrones sat a Skelett and a half molten Crown with an dry Bouquet of dead Flowers.  
The Skelett was wearing a Crown too, a Golden Crown with an violet Stone … it was Celestia.  
The molten Crown was black and looked like Lunas, but her Body was nowhere to see.
 
Under Celestia’s Arm was a Letter.  
Maybe she was writing it, in the Moment she left this World forever.  
It was difficult to read, maybe Celestia had no strength left as she has written her last Words:
 
Dear beloved Sister,
 
I know, you will never read these Lines, so maybe Nopony else as well.  
I just want to write this, to distract me from the Pain in my Body.  
I could never have imagined how I would miss Water or a fresh Carrot.  
I know Alicorns can survive long without Food or Water, but after the magical Blast has cripple my Wings and after most of my Magic has left my Body, I feel how the Life slowly leave my Body.  
It is difficult to lift the Quill, to write this Words, I’m so tired and my Eyes are burning.  
I’m sorry Sister, it was my fault.  
The Elements was supposed to stop you, not to destroy you.  
So many Ponys was killed because of me.  
Im so sory ny lttle Pnys I ………………….
 
At the End of the Letter a Line was falling down to the end of the Paper, as Celestia’s Arm has fall down with her last Breath.  
She was not able to finish this Letter, before the Death has taken her Life.
 
Everypony in our Group went silent for Minutes, Rarity was crying on her Couch (I really don’t know where she always got it from) and Pinkys hair was flat hanging down.  
After some Sort of Burial of Celestias Bones in the Crypta of Canterlot, we started to investigate.  
Twilight and Rarity went to the Library, to find out more about the Situation and with some hope, find out what happen to this World.
We just had 10 Days until even the protective Clothing could not longer help us to survive under the Heat of this dying Sun, in this doomed World.
 
I was curiously visiting my old Room in Canterlot, just instead of my own, there was Twilights Cutiemark on the Door.  
Twilights mummified Body was sitting in the Chair on her Desk.  
I couldn’t stand the Sight, so I covered her with a Blanket.
 
On her Table was many Books about Astronomy, Magic and other interesting Books.  
Looks like Twilight, who was an Alicorn here, as I could see, because of her Horn and the remaining Parts of her Wings, has try to find a Way to save her World.  
Two books on the Side and the one in Front of her was some Journals, where Twilight had noted all Details and Infos.  
Exactly what we need now.  
So I grabbed Twilights Journals with my Magic and stored them in my Backpack, then Ieft the Room again.
 
Ariving in the Library, I saw how our Twilight had placed a Mountain of maybe 120 Books on a fragil looking Table and I hoped she will not create an Avalanche of Knowledge, if the Table decided it has endure enough and want to retire from his Job.  
After I had stuff my Eyes back into my Head, I have set up a Meeting with Everypony, so together we could hear what Twilights other Self has written in her Journals.
 
The Journal covered around 5 Years and after it, this world was mostly similar to our World.  
Luna has turn into Nightmare Moon and Celestia had to battle her Sister.  
But then something was going completly wrong.  
Celestia was using the Elements of Harmony against her Sister, but instead of enclosing her into Crystal, as she has do this in our World, the Elements have overload Nightmare Moon until she burst in a massive magical Explosion.  
Twilight guessed, Nightmare Moon had a magical connection beween herself and Celestia and drained most of her Sisters Magic, without Celestia noticing it, until it was to late.  
The Explosion killed every Pony and Creature in Canterlot and in a Radius of 50 km arround it, who are not an Alicorn or protected by a magic Shield, leaving Celestia and Twilight and maybe some other Ponys who could save themself, as only Survivors (I havn’t decided, if they have found Survivors and rescue them).  
Over Celestias connection to it, the Sun has turn instable too and would soon turn the Planet in a glowing Ball of liquid Stone.
 
So Queen Celestia started a difficult Project, to save important Items from this World, everything that was worth to be rescued.  
Every avaiable Guard from the Day, Night and Crystal Watch was involved to find and transport Stuff to the Portal Mirror.  
The Guards had to transport over 27.000 Books, Twilight called “ultimativ and absolutly nessesary to rescue”.  
If it had been up to her, Twilight would have taken every single Book with her, but we could never rescue over 337.000 Books in the 5 Days we had left.  
It was a Pain for me too, to leave Books behind, but the most of the Books already existed in our World, so we just have taken important and unknown Books about Medicine, Technology, Politics and other important Books with us.
 
The next Day we discovered the completly intact “Castle of Sun and Moon”, like the Castle of the two Sisters was called here.  
The Castle was exactly like I know it from Celestias Tales.  
The Banners of Sun and Moon, the two Thrones, all the Art there in Statues and Paintings, everything undamaged.
According to Twilights Journals, the Battle between Nightmare Moon and Celestia started in Canterlot, not in this Castle.
So the Castle of Sun and Moon was never destroyed, like our Castle of the two Sisters.
 
After the Books and other Items from Canterlot was secured, everypony except myself left the World and I teleported the Portal Mirror and myself into the Castle of Sun and Moon.  
Nopony could say if the Mirror would still work after it was moved, so I was the only left here, in case the Portal will not longer work, then just one Pony would left behind.
 
After placing the Mirror in the old Throne Room, I throwed a Book in the Portal who had the fitting Title “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Equestria”.  
If it arrive on the other Side, they know the Portal still work and would answer me with another Book.  
Less then a Minute later the Book “Dork Gentlecolts’s Magic Detective Agency” hit me straight in the Face and the Landscape outside of the windows suddenly looked much more … Pink?  
And why I had a silver Salt Shaker swirling around my Head?  
Not important, as long Raity not try to rescue an Sofa over the Portal, I don’t want to get it stuck in there.  
Angry I take the Book and throw is back into the Portal.
 
Five Minutes later my Friends and the Guards retoured.  
“Nice Throw, Princess”, Rainbow said grinning, “You have kick Queen Celestias Crown from her Head, made a Hole into a Window and destroyed a Porcelan Shop with that Book”.  
As I give her a scared Stare, she start to Laught.  
“Ah, hahahhh, j-just a Joke. Very funny” I stamered irritated.  
“Yea, there was no Porcelan Shop, but everything else.” she grinned.  
The corners of my Mouth dropped to the Floor “Oh my…”.
 
Three Days later we had everything transfered to our World and Everypony was back in our own World.  
A Day later the Mirror started to glow yellow, then orange and finaly red until it went black and we knew the World on the other Side had ceased to exist.
 
But the Legacy of this World has completed our own World again.  
All the Art rescued from the doomed Equestria has replaced the Items, lost in the Castle of the two Sisters.  
To allow them to get back the Place they belong to, Queen Celestia commissioned one last Work to be done, before the Sisters retired as Queens and made the Way free for a new Queen:
 
“The Castle of the two Sisters shall be rebuild and from thus Day on, it shall be known as the Equestria Historical Museum and will serve as an Place of Wisdom, where Everypony will be able to learn about thus was was in the Past.”
 
Three Days later the royal Queens requested to talk with me.  
We stod on the Balcony of Celestias private Quarters, Celestia, Luna and myself aned looked over Canterlot and Ponyville.

“I always have to think at all the Ponys in the other Equestria, what’s happened to them.” I said sadly while watching the busy World under us in the Streets.  
“We know it, Fluttershy”, said Luna with an indefinable Expression on her Face, “We have see it in your Nightmares.”  
“I-I can’t forget what I have see, all the Destruction, all the dead Ponys.” I whispered with Tears in the Eyes.  
“But you worked hard, to save so much from this dying World.” Celestia told me with a smile, “They till be living on in the Books and Arts you have brougt back.”.  
“Thank you, your Majesty” I said with a sad Smile.  
“You have show your Qualitys, in saving all this Relicts of the Past in this Mission.” Celestia continued, “You know, my Sister and I wish to retire from the Throne. So …”  
I was staring to her with big round Eyes.  
“I would like to see you follow me on the Throne.” she said with an soft, but serous Voice, “Queen Fluttershy, how sound that to you?”

The Window in the BG are based on this Picture from the MLP-FiM Movie, just with my Char instead of Twilight, so it look a bit different.  
I have ask the Artist if theres an complete Window behind me, maybe I can show you the complete Window in a later Post.^^
