Right. But why Misty? Why was Misty found around where Opaline was? And if Opaline didn’t care, she wouldn’t have brought Misty to her castle. Although she will be a good help as she has been with Opaline since childhood. But I still don’t understand this situation.
And the other thing going on here is that Misty is the adopted daughter of an alicorn, so she’s a princess.
Maybe Opaline cared about her in the past, but ..

Opaline didn’t raise Misty as her daughter but rather her minion who must obey her at all cost. Opaline doesn’t care about Misty’s feelings or health she just uses her because she is still too weak from what Twilight did to her. And let’s be real, she deserved it. She just wants her magic back, it doesn’t matter to her how she will do it. If she has to manipulate her minion until the very end, so be it.
