Twilight stood up and told her wife Tempest what had happened with her and their daughter, Star Twist. After explaining everything, Tempest turned her head to the direction of her room.
 
“So she went in her room?” Tempest asked, making sure her daughter didn’t run off outside of the castle instead.
 
“Yes. I heard her jump onto her bed once she teleported away from me” Twilight assured Tempest.
 
“Then…” Tempest paused. “I’ll try to speak with her”
 
“I don’t think that’ll work, Tempest”
 
“Eh.. Well” She paused. “It’s worth a shot” The tall unicorn said before trotting over to Star Twist’s room.
 
When Tempest got to her daughters room, she held up her hoof and knocked on the door. Not surprisingly, Star Twist didn’t want anyone to come in at the moment.
 
“Go away!” Star Twist said, her voice muffled. She was probably stuffing her head into her pillow.
 
“Star Twist, it’s me. Your mother, Tempest. Can you please open the door?”
 
“Is it only you?” Star replied, her voice slightly less muffled then before.
 
“Only me”
 
A few moments passed before Star Twist peeked outside of the door. It was true, only Tempest was there. She opened the door enough to make it so Tempest can get in.
 
“What do you need?” Star Twist stared up at her mother, almost un-trustingly. The little mare had tears in her eyes and tears rolling down her cheek, as if she was crying in her pillow.
 
“Your mother told me that you had a bit of an… How should I put this… Erm” Tempest paused to find the right word. “Tantrum?”
 
Star Twist raised a brow. “So what if I did?”
 
Her mother sighed. “How about we both sit down” she said, meaning they were going to have a long talk.
 
Star Twist rolled her eyes and sat down on the floor. Tempest’s ears went back for a moment, though she still sat down after.
 
“I-I heard you were angry because you were the only unicorn princess, correct?”
 
Star just nodded and looked away.
 
“…Well, I hope you know there is a reason for that-” Tempest said before getting interrupted.
 
“And what’s that?! Am I the only unicorn princess because I mean less or something?! Because I don’t deserve to have wings and not stand out as much?! So everyone can make fun at me?! It’s already hard ENOUGH being a princess, for Celestia’s sake! I didn’t WANT TO be a PRINCESS! I just I- I’m-~~” Star Twist started tearing up some more. “I just want to be invisible.. I don’t want ponies treating me like i’m either a goddess or a loser! I wish I could just blend in with the crowd”
 
Tempest was shocked. She didn’t know what to say. “S-star Twist” put a hoof over her shoulder.
 
“W-why do I need t-to be a-a princess?” She stuttered, tears streaming down her cheeks.
 
“Ever since your cousin Flurry Heart was born, Princess Celestia and her sister Luna had decided that from then on, being a princess was going to run through blood” Tempest explained.
 
“Why…?” Star Twist said, another tear running down to her chin.
 
“Luna announced that it was because her elder sister didn’t want to have to keep giving them wings ~~ or horns - because it would be too much work. She said that another reason was because ponies around Canterlot and Ponyville were starting to think that Celestia and Luna thought that those certain ponies who had become Alicorns meant more, and the normal ponies were just servants, just ponies to serve all of the alicorns and treat them like gold” Tempest put her hoof down.
 
“R-really?”
 
“Yes. That’s why you are the first princess in all of Equestria that will make ponies feel more equal to the princesses, and more like a friend then a servant”
 
“What about t-the ponies at school?”
 
“I think they might be jealous. Not all ponies get to be the daughter of a princess, let alone become one of the most memorable princesses in all the land. You, Star Twist, are the beginning of a more better Equestria. An Equestria that will be more equal, an Equestria where everypony, and I mean EVERYPONY, matters” Tempest smiled.
 
Star Twist giggled and wiped the tears out of her eyes. “I guess so”
 
“Wanna go outside now?”
 
“Sure”
