If you feel that someone is violating the rules, then file a report. There’s no need to post three replies saying you filed a report, and then start taking bets on who’s going to get a duck badge.
 
But really. Crystal, SoundTea, etc are right - if you don’t like the contents of a thread, get out.

It’s allowed, and several mods half alt accounts. The rest of us are two lazy to bounce back-and-forth between URLs to switch accounts (especially me).

Could there be a checkbox for moderators to suppress/hide the “site moderator/assistant/administrator” badge on a per-post/per-comment basis?
 
It’d be useful for cases where we don’t wish to post anonymously, but don’t necessarily need to be identified as staff either (or where if we’re identified as staff, the message could be taken in an entirely different context).

Derpibooru is behind two layers of DDOS protection (Cloudflare and OVH). Additionally, Cloudflare caches and serves a lot of static content (especially images) on our behalf, so it’d be hard to overload the site just by downloading images.

Because it would substantially increase the numbers of writes to the database. Every time anyone views an image on the site, that’ll be another write to the database.

Also, I can’t imagine such a feature impacting the site’s performance in any way other than negatively.

It’s not, Pbooru is just a clone with a similar name. In fact, Ponibooru’s old “official” domain actually points to Derpibooru now - https://www.ponibooru.org/

I was the one who rejected the report. She seems far enough away from human (pony ears, nose, wings, tail, etc) to me. I asked about this in the moderator’s IRC channel at the time, and no one raised any objection at the time either.

Personally, I’d rather “majestic as fuck” be aliased into “majestic”, just to get rid of the former tag. I’m not a huge fan of the “as fuck” tags…

You can search by the “faved_by:” opperator. So if you wanted to see pictures of your favorites that contained Fluttershy, for example, search for:

Usually when a post in a thread gets reported, we check out more than just that one post. For example, if a post gets reported where someone is insulting another member, we’ll look and see if there’s a reason why, or if someone is instigating them, etc.
 
There’s been far too many instances when Member A reports a post made by Member B, and then I look at it, and saw that Member A has been baiting Member B beforehand.

Two different things. “Humanized” means a non-human character that was turned into a human, “Human” means it includes a generic/IRL human in the picture.

In my private messages box, if I go to the last page of messages, the page navigation disappears.

Avatar images need to be safe, since they cannot be filtered. We’ve already removed that Octavia picture as the avatar from the person who was using it.
 
If you see someone with an avatar that you don’t feel is appropriate, the best course of action is to go to their profile and click “Report this user”.

They’re the same site, just alternative URLs. Derpibooru.org is the official “primary” URL, but derpiboo.ru and trixiebooru.org are alternative URLs.
 
Ponibooru.org used to belong to an old MLP imageboard that shut down in June 2012, and their old URL points to us as well now, but we don’t have a SSL certificate for it.
 
A good use for the alternative URLs would be if you had multiple accounts, such as one for image posting/general use and one for RP’ing in the forums. Login cookies are URL based, so you can be logged into one account on derpibooru.org, and another account on derpiboo.ru or trixiebooru.org.

If someone is trying to start drama in a thread, starts attacking other members, or just starts massively derailing threads, please just report it and then ignore it. We don’t want threads that are meant to be fun descending into some huge dramatic mess, as that just ruins the fun for everyone.
