Make sure to be cautious about what you’re discussing; we’re referring to a new episode after all. Some people don’t want to be spoiled if they haven’t seen it yet. Your last comments are fine, but don’t mention things like the hospital or the roles of new characters without spoilerbox.

Personally, I’d say either Lackadaisy or Peachy Plume. Both sound good to me.
 
On a side note: I normally don’t involve myself in such discussion so I could very well be wrong but I thought these kind of things got their separate thread in Episode Pony Discussion?
 
Might be worth to have a looksee in case someone started a different thread over yonder.

Thank you for the links; I actually already checked this thread, but it doesn’t seem to be very productive yet so I figured I’d start this conversation in a more active thread. Might as well share the topic there, though, as it is the point of that thread. Done.

Can’t say I really prefer one. Out of the available ones those simply sound best.
 
And of course, it’d make sense to ask here. I just wanted to point out that, to my knowledge, naming conventions are usually held in the Episode Pony Discussion forum so there might be more opinions to be had there, is all.

It was new four days ago, at any rate; is there a set timeframe we should be using?

I believe the usual keep-things-spoilered period is up until 5 days since the episode’s aired. Could be wrong though.

I wouldn’t count any episode as aired until it’s aired on Discovery itself, mind; I consider the UK early airings as leaks.

Yeah, but Where The Apple Lies was on DiscoFam last Saturday; I don’t recall anyone ever bothering to spoiler anything about episodes after they’ve aired on the primary network.
 
I still say posts about the unaired episodes that aren’t spoilered outside of forum threads specifically about S6 discussion– or image comments with the appropriate spoiler tags– should get stomped on, so if there’s some kind of standard we should be using for recently aired episodes I want to know about it so I can follow it.

Huh. I would think things dealing with new episodes are exempt of that. Considering not everyone gets to watch them at the same time.

Kimono needs some work. She’s not showing up as a character, and there’s confusion between the different tags.

I don’t think non-MLP characters get the character tag color. Epona is a Legend of Zelda character that, due to already being a horse, is ponified a lot.

I figure that some people didn’t get to watch the episode right away, and might not want to be spoiled in a thread where they didn’t expect to see spoilers. I guess this thread could be argued as free-game for spoilers, but out of respect for those few who aren’t expecting it, I was just trying to give them fair warning. I suppose you’re right though; it’s been about long enough at this point.
 
That said, does aaaanyone else who’s commented here recently have an opinion on what this mare’s name should be? Current suggestions are here; please vote on which one you like or suggest a new idea if you have one. If no one else voices an opinion on the matter, I’ll probably just check with the other staff online and pick the top one.

A suggestion on >>1268027 was Sassy Service. I like that myself, but I’ll go with Lackadaisy if this name falls through.

Never been entirely sure whether ponified characters from other series use the oc tag or not.

So, after spending a couple of days asking people about it, the final tally of people who voted across multiple threads and IRC (assuming I didn’t miss any) was:
