There's something unparsable in the JPG file. I converted it to a PNG and uploaded it here:

I made you the uploader. I wasn't sure of all the tags, so please fix any tags I got wrong or missed, and correct the description if you wanted something else.
Ah ... looks like there is something in the rotation that is causing the problem as well as the aspect ratios. The image looks like this when the EXIF data is not parsed:
Whatever tool you used to save the image saved 'instructions' for rotating and scaling the image rather than the actual 'what you see is what you get'.
