Strikes me as the same kind of thing [I reported a while back]([@Background Pony \#62CA](/forums/meta/topics/report-site-bugs-here?post_id=5242447#post_5242447)) where I could do a search including a tag and excluding its alias and yet still get results (which continues to be true). Most tags with aliases don't have this problem, though.
