I just don't think the show will reference something from a "lesser" media source, as in a reference that only people who have read the comics (which is_*not_* most of them) will understand.
They only way I could see Mina being in the show at all is if they re-introduced her from scratch. Probably by adapting the comic story she came from. I'm sure it would be heavily modified though.
