And only made worse by the fate of other villains, who could use the understanding that very episode preaches leagues more.

I find it curious that someone would be angry that villains get reformed in this cartoon that is called “Friendship is Magic”. As far as I’m concerned, all of them could be reformed.
 
What did piss me off was that Chrysalis left and then became a crazy nobody in the middle of the forest instead of going back around and getting back at her enemies until Grogar came and rescued her. And if you’ve seem the leaks, you know what a goddamn mess that was.

Actually, many of us were glad that the major villians didn’t get reformed.

According to the episode Daring Doubt, Ahuizotl was actually a guardian defending his territory from thieves, and Daring Do and Caballeron were hurting his reputation among other guardians with their successes. So, was he really reformed?

Uh… do you mean Tirek had the chance to suck up the Magic of Friendship? I’m not sure he could do that, at all. Where was it stated he could do that?
 
But anyway, Tirek blew his chance when his own brother couldn’t convince him to stop his literal power hunger.
 
Twilight asked “why” with Cozy, and she got the utterly sociopathic spiel of “become more powerful than you” in response.
 

 
(If that appeal didn’t work with her, chances are, Chrysalis was, is, and always will be 0% benevolent, especially considering future actions)

The trio had their chance to be reformed.
 
Chrysalis was offered a chance by Starlight, but she refused and claimed that “friendship is a disease.” She chose not to be reformed.
 
Cozy Glow was given a chance at friendship when she was in school, but she believed that friendship equals power despite Twilight saying otherwise. She even tried to get rid of all the magic in the world just to exploit friendship.
 
In the end of Season 4, Twilight mentions Tirek forgot to suck up the magic of friendship when sucking up her magic. Tirek didn’t do it because he either forgot, or he didn’t want to learn about friendship, but it could be the latter.
 
Most of the minor villians had a good reason to be bad, (Ahuizotl wanted to protect the relics, Garble didn’t want to humiliate himself, etc), but once they learned about friendship, they decided to turn things around before it’s too late.

Is this acccurate? Because I do hate how the minor villains were reformed this season. Daring Doubt was some of the most convoluted bs that I had seen in a while. But I do like that the major villains didn’t reform by befriending each other. A bad person befriending another bad person does not then make them good people. People are probably upset about how the ultimate fate of said major villains isn’t open ended.
