I was never impressed with the IDW pony comics, but it wasn’t until recently that I thought they were flat out bad. Reflections on its own made me seriously consider never even glancing at the comics again, and since then it’s been a downhill slide.

Hasbro doesn’t want any more mirror universes. Also, Curnow talked about how the comics are ultimately unimportant because of how little force thy have. They can never cover anything of value and could always be overruled by the show.

The Cattle Rustlers is an arc a lot of people dislike. The one involving the kelpie (can’t remember which comic she’s from) also has a pretty controversial moment.

Neither IDW nor pony fans came out of that situation unscathed. It was a poor decision to include the cameo and Ted-gate was overblown.

Hmmmm. Seems on par with Katie and Cook. They’re very hit and miss.
 
Seem be putting out a few misses lately, But I’m sure they’ll get some good ones again. They’re best stuff seems to be when it’s just an average day and not something horribly dramatic happening.

I have to admit I side much more with IDW on this one. Don’t agree with Ted’s opinions, but saying a guy should be fired cause he has opinions that are unpopular?
 
Nah.

A company with any sense would have fired Anderson simply because of the PR nightmare. I’m not the fucking one who demands money from people after punching them in the face.
 
IDW is a shitty and incompetent company that thinks its fans are stupid and short sighted. Giving them money is encouraging mediocrity at best and giving people who hate you a soapbox at worst. They are not entitled to my money and their attempts at (dare I say it) “tone policing” and censorship are unforgivable.

Also, I don’t know if you care about Equestria Girls, but the Holiday Special is also hated by a lot of people. That controversy involves Sunset, the Humane 5, and “Anon A. Miss”.

Besides there’s much more to IDW than Ponies. Booyah TMNT, GhostBusters, Star Trek, Mars Attacks, Crossovers, Etc, Etc!

Ted Anderson’s a speck anyway. Hence why I agree with the BG pony that says the whole ordeal is overblown.

Not fair? Was it fair when nepotism kept Anderson on the comics and they invent mysterious emails thst prove hiw fans are wrong.

The pony audience brings some of IDWs highest numbers and is one of the most relevant series.

…It’s going to be a long time before the next comic comes out (and possibly ends up being controversial for one reason or another), isn’t it?

I’m not crazy abut either character, but I don’t see how they could screw it up.
 
Though, a part of me is suspicious that it might come out like yet another Rare/Aj outing, but I’m sure it’ll pass.

I’m more speaking about a group of people, cause it sounded like you were advocating everyone stop reading IDW cause of the Ted Anderson debacle. Which might have been a fault on my part, incorrect interpretation, sorry about that.
 
If we’re talking strictly in a single person sense, you and those who are involved and unsatisifed with the product, then sure. Yeah. It’s your money. If you are unsatisfied with the product then no you shouldn’t have to buy it.
 
But those who aren’t involved or still do like it should not have to disassociate from the company cause of Ted. Example: TMNT fan should not be bothered with this because it doesn’t involve them.

As for the email.
 
I feel they shouldn’t have had to even bother with the emails, that they should have been able to just say “no, we aren’t firing him”.
 
The man has some opinions that are unpopular yes, but I don’t feel they warrant him being fired. Though I will grant you from a purely company standpoint, firing him might have saved them a smidgen of problems.
