Emerald explains the events of how he got to the forest, how he was on a ship that was attacked by a Kraken and wound up in this village, and how his mentor is going to come get him soon. He then remarks that she is very pretty, but asks why a pony has a horn and teeth like that.
 
She titters and says, “Because I’m not ACTUALLY a pony, silly! And this isn’t really my true form. If I was in my true form I’d probably immolate everything in this room with just my presence!”
 
Emerald isn’t sure how to respond to this, so the colt asks if she can give him any info on the demon that is “possessing” him, or even about his “corruption”.
 
“Demons have a knack for spotting the impure, and you are incredibly so! There is no way you got in that condition without realizing it. So what’d you do, kill a bunch of people? Hedonism? Litter?” Pipadeaxkor asks, circling around him some more.
 
Emerald blushes slightly at what probably caused it, but doesn’t answer. he instead asks again about his demon possession.
 
“Oh? That important to you is it? Well, what do I get out of it if I tell you? That demon possessing you is rather powerful and I wouldn’t want to be on his bad side… If he hasn’t told you, I’m not sure I’m safe to do so!” Pipadeaxkor teases, resting above Emerald’s right shoulder.
