Speaking of griffons, in the novelization of the film, after escaping from the clutches of the Storm King’s minions and escaping from Klugetown on Celaeno’s ship, the Mane Six believes that Celaeno and her crew were griffons, assume them to be potential allies, and decide to remain on board, as opposed to simply being afraid of getting caught.

4Kids had a history of censoring guns (including the One Piece example someone pointed out below, as well as the “invisible guns” in Yu-Gi-Oh), but I remember at least two early episodes of Pokemon that involved guns.
 
One of them, the one that introduced Ash’s Squirtle, had a scene where people point rifles at Ash thinking he’s there to steal stuff. IIRC, that one was released here without any editing done to the rifles (at least in some form, I remember watching it on a VHS tape, so I don’t know if it even aired or not).
 
The other, which involved the Safari Zone and a Dratini, had heavy use of firearms (including a scene where someone straight-up points a gun in Ash’s face), and 4Kids didn’t edit it… because they decided to just not release the episode in the U.S., period.
 
Of course, I’m going entirely by memory here, so I could be wrong about both.

I heard the song it was good. Cant wait to hear it in theaters!
