Black magic emits from Blood Edge’s horn and eyes, and a dark aura shrouds his longsword. Then, the black tendrils attack.
Opaline attempts to dodge the two foes whipping at her, but she is scraped for two damage. She parries the third attack with her wooden staff, and counter-attacks, but deals no damage.
Not far from her, Whirlpool continues to distract three of the tendrils, unable to act. Tailkicker successfully dodges two attacks in a row, but she gets hit by a third one, and takes two damage.
Finally, one tendril lands a hit on Blood Edge for two damage, while the other two miss him…
Dawn Break: “Blood Edge recovers one magic point from Masochism. In addition, he mysteriously loses one health point, and recovers one extra magic point.”
Sweet Biscuit: “Watch your health, my magic won’t last long if I have to heal all of you at the same time.”
Opaline’s horn flashes brightly, and a burst of bubbling light heals Tailkicker for three health points. Now in better shape, Tailkicker attacks the same target with her shortsword, slashing it for one damage. The black tendril is defeated, and turns to dust.
Tailkicker: “Yeah, got one!”
