In this universe the Sirens tried to take over Canterlot High, which the Mane 6 were attending, like in EqG. But basically, it was years ago, and the Sirens were mostly focused on Twilight, “oh and she has those friends helping her”, but they weren’t like introduced or anything.
And for the Mane 6…they defeated a LOT of villains, so it all kind of blends together. :)
Will her memory be jogged later? Stay tuned to find out!

Peach could be the one to blurt out a really heartfelt thank you for his new clothes / Rarity slashing her prices / giving the stuff away as a bury the hatchet present (assuming she’s still regularly talking to Twilight and knows the situation!) and Adagio can do her very slightly less gruff grumpy and grudging “yeah whatever, what he said” bit, and Rarity would know how to accept it and not make it awkward
“yeah whatever” sounds more like Aria. I’m thinking (given the general theme of these comics) after Peach blurts out his thanks Dagi would be more “good boy, Peach, now show Rarity how grateful you are” and then sex happens…

I might see if I can work a reference to that into the following pages. It would seem out of character for Adagio to actually thank Rarity, but I can probably find a way to make something work.

So they aren’t earning that much money (hence the shitty apartment) but Adagio saved up a bit to do something fun for Peach. But also, when she called Rarity about it, Rarity realized that Adagio didn’t have that much money (“Woah, shit, I don’t think I can afford that” or something), and decided to be generous (Element and all that) and not charge them the regular rate for a fitting.
It seems to me Rarity is a bit of a pervert sexually somewhat adventurous, so she might have decided to do it just for fun. After all, since boys are essentially linear it’s not so much work making clothes for them.
I have also shrunk Peach a teensy bit, because he really shouldn’t be as tall as Adagio.
Ha! I thought Peach used to be a tad taller. He needs to change his diet a bit, he must not be getting all his nutrients.
I wish in retrospect that I had made Sonata just a tiny bit chubby, since it feels like it’d fit her personality. But alas…
Yeah, it’s hard to think of Sonata worrying about her figure when there’s something tasty to eat.

1: I actually thought about the reasoning behind that, but it just didn’t fit seamlessly into the script, so it got cut. Basically two things: The concerts they do aren’t the kind where you are a celebrity, but the kind where the venue books 3-4 acts a night and people come out to see whoever is playing.

It’s often frustrating, having so much lore and backstory that just doesn’t fit into a tight, snappy script, since I don’t want to have people just stand there giving exposition. I should probably find a way to let readers know about their gig/money situation, though.
2: Yeah. I was kind of thinking imposing supermodel (except not super scrawny) when I made her, but I might have overdone it. I may shrink her down a little bit in future. Also she was one of the first models I made (though she’s been re-rigged several times since then) so I didn’t have the scale perfectly established.

I also wasn’t initially thinking I’d have Twilight be really tall in universe. Bad planning on my part. I have also shrunk Peach a teensy bit, because he really shouldn’t be as tall as Adagio.
Changing the actual body shape like you suggest would be prohibitive, unfortunately. For technical reasons, the way I have it set up in blender means that significantly changing body shape would involve basically redoing the character, instead of just being a slider. I can scale the whole model, though.
I wish in retrospect that I had made Sonata just a tiny bit chubby, since it feels like it’d fit her personality. But alas…

I love that anyone has paid enough attention to go back and find/post citations like that. XD I hope I can keep my lore all straight and don’t mess up and contradict myself…because people WILL notice XD

Yeah, messing with body shape would be kind of advanced magic, so the only ponies able to do it would be unicorns who have actually studied magic and gotten good at it, instead of a random average pony.
Whereas the Sirens can’t do proper spells like that. They just have the innate magical ability to manipulate and feed on emotions. Though as was said, vastly less, with their gems broken.
Though they still have the ability to mess at least some with the emotions of a single pony, if they work at it. That’s what I meant to imply Adagio was doing in panel 11 of this page >>2553381

I was thinking Peachpipe somehow got shorter, but I think you’re right, Rarity is tall. I wonder if that’s a side effect of keeping all the mane 6 in proportion, when Twilight got bigger.
Speaking of bigger, as a marshmallow pony Rarity might benefit from just a little extra padding.

Seeing as magic is a thing in this universe, I would imagine that any mare going down that route would opt for something more…realistic.
But not everyone has magic. Twilight certainly could, if she was so inspired (and that would be a shock to Juice), Rarity maybe could? I don’t think the sirens could, their magic seems to be tied to their jewels (which are currently broken).
