Coming as free updates in the future, chapter 2 is currently being worked on alongside new characters.
That’d be a pretty awesome visual not gonna lie.
Imagine a future story mode boss fight where you play as Arizona or Velvet, and her dad is in the background fighting a predator just like you.
And maybe one day, Fight WITH your dad.
Several reasons, mostly related to the fact that the original design wasn’t really finished, and also needed to have some overdesign corrected so it would be better to draw and animate as a playable character. He actually looks marketly different now from what was a whole lot of old, somewhat same-y concept art of Reine NPCs. He needed the glow up and it rules.

Probably because his old design wasn’t made thinking of him as a playable character, but a background npc, so they needed something more polish that would work better as a fully animated character.
