Alternate ending for “Roots of all Evil,” set right after the Rainbow of Light dissipated and dropped Opaline on the ground.
Sunny had had it with Opaline so she wasn’t content to merely let the castle’s Together Tree have its way with the fallen alicorn. No, Sunny felt the need - the moral imperative - to erase Opaline from the universe to ensure she could never, ever hurt anycreature ever again. Her own budding alicorn powers certainly could use the boost too.
Jade and Lava are utterly horrified that the normally cheerful Element of Hope had it in her to perform an execution, let alone one this excruciatingly painful for the target. Spike, on the other hoof, clearly approves of Sunny’s methods. It’s almost as if he’s seen other alicorns employ them before…
