I haven’t read the story because I don’t have the time to read something so long but I’ve read about it and it’s plot, it’s so dark. I wonder what happened to them all, were they erased, or transported somewhere… else. If anyone knows the answer can you tell me

It was pretty powerful. Not many fanfic authors can build a scene like that.
 
The way that neither we nor Fluttershy knows what happened to the family gave our minds freedom to imagine the worst (and what never got to happen), our attachment to Fluttershy (and Bubbles!) bringing out concern when it got too much, and nothing but more loneliness (highlighted by Bubbles), a storm, and dragon country in the immediate future all blended together to create an atmosphere of heart-ache. Not to mention the little details in the image itself, like the pictures and the heart-monitor lines.
 
Is the star-swirly party hat some form of foreshadowing, given what we’ve seen from the ‘future’ memories? And did I really just type all of that? ._.

So I’ve heard. I’m really happy this scene resonated with so many people. It’s a true milestone for me in both artwork and writing.
