I loved this challenge so much. I got a new tablet and new pen that should help me to be able to draw more, and I got to sit and just work with it all weekend. It was so amazing to see what this new tablet can do, what I can and can’t draw, and how it integrates with PhotoShop.

I love the oldest, the newest, and the potential of it all.
For me, My Little Ponies is a constantly renewing, eternally fresh thing. Like Sarah Mclachlan says in her song; “Wait”:
When all we wanted was the dream
to have and to hold that precious little thing
like every generation yields
the new born hope unjaded by their years
I am so excited that My Little Pony is now in its fifth generation, and that we are getting to see what an entire new era of fans, and an entire new generation of technology, can bring to this venerable fandom.
And, I guess, it’s time for me to try to keep up. The pencils and paper will always be there - but now I can … well … this - whatever it is, it’s new for me, and I can’t wait to se what it becomes.
I wish I’d gotten more of Sunny done this time, but next time I’ll start earlier.

It’s an old Huion 191-dash-something. The surface starts out scratchy, but over time it warms up, like working with pastels. I’ve got it positioned vertically on a big swing arm, so I can use it like it’s a piece of paper on a light table. It’s a great tablet :)

I really donked up my Photoshop settings with all the extra buttons though, and pawing at my keyboard blind to switch tools I think I changed a bunch of preferences and even shortcuts. Now I can’t get an elliptical mask, like, at all, and V brings up some stupid “How it looks on a phone” cropper.
Anyway, off topic for this thread, but gosh that’s a fun tablet.

Oh nice! I currently use a Huion too, its a bit old though; I’ve had my Huion Q11K since roughly 2018/2019 & it still runs like a charm, no issues with battery life but sometimes the pressure glitches and leaves a dragged line on the screen but I’ve kind of grown used to that happened plus it doesn’t happen often.
