I don’t post things, but Furaffinity (doesn’t HAVE to be furry) Inkbunny (i swear they don’t allow explicit with humans but I’ve seen it there so idfk) twitter (why the fuck would anyone use twitter for art) patreon (i guess) and i’m sure there’s more but thats all I know.

FurAffinity was going to be my next choice, since I’m aware that non-furry art is also allowed there, but I… just don’t know if I want to be associated with FurAffinity. XD
 
As for Twitter, I was considering it, but that site also has the purity police, so that’s out of the question.

I think my big deal is, I don’t want to box myself into either being a SFW or NSFW artist. And there are plenty of sites for SFW art and plenty of sites for NSFW art, but very, very few sites for both.

Whether you like it or not, it’s a valuable marketing/networking tool for creatives. That’s why so many use it. It’s good to post your stuff on multiple venues (especially if you don’t have your own website), because you never know when a platform could shut down without any warning.

You could try setting up an account on Mastodon, Pillowfort, or even try NewTumbl. I’ve never used any of these yet, but those come to mind when it comes to possible avenues for NSFW artists.

I guess since I only upload on Derpi I have no hope. :D

You can can away with some NSFW on Instagram (like my tentacle picture– suggestive is fine? For humans, I think you just have to have boobs and genitals covered). Twitter is doable and has plenty of accounts that post SFW and NSFW; however, the caveat is that most people who post NSFW end up just leaving their account so only people who specifically mark to see that content can. You don’t have to do that, to my understanding, but… it is annoying.
 
Those are definitely the two places with the biggest audience to reach out to. I mean, there’s also DeviantArt I guess, and FurAffinity is a good option like others have suggested.
 
Honestly, it is pretty hard to find a place that allows you to be SFW and NSFW with art in general while also still allowing you to have an audience that is down for both types of work. Most people want to see a specific thing from an artist, which is stifling but… what can you do I guess

Really? Because I’ve only ever seen anime/manga styled art on Pixiv.
 
Also, I hear it’s a Japanese site, which will inevitably make it harder to use since I don’t speak the language.

There’s actually some English speakers who use it to upload content there, and it’s not that difficult to navigate. Plus, people don’t care if your style is anime or not.
 
Again, I did suggest using Newtumbl if you want to post SFW and NSFW content. The site is supposed to be like Tumblr before the NSFW ban, and I haven’t heard any terrible things about the platform so far.
