As someone who knows nothing of Digimon, what’s the best game in the series?

Looks like Digimon Dawn sounds like a horrifying experience if Jaiden’s recollection is anything to go by.

Sadly, Digimon games aren’t the most consistent with quality. Digimon Cyber Sleuth and Hacker’s Memory are the best ones overall, and come in a bundle. If you want to be spicy, Digimon Survive is good if you want to try a visual novel with dead kids, or Digimon World: Next Order if you want to see the pat-raising side of the franchise.

I like fighting games, so I liked Battle Spirit on the Game Boy Advance and Rumble Arena on PlayStation.
There’s some newer fighting games that I’ve heard good things about.

Anybody remember Digimon World DS? That game tided me over until Pokémon Diamond and Pearl came out.

Fun Fact: The Digimon card game has an upcoming manga called Digimon Liberator.

Slowly watching the Adventures reboot. Agumon -> Greymon having a 30 second evolution every ep is quite annoying.

Why am I just now learning about ModokiBetamon?

For context, this was likely created for Digimon World 1 since if you can recruit a digimon in that game, you can’t fight it in the wild so they have off-brand versions of almost all of them in the wild you can fight.

I just saw some of the Digimon Liberator digimon designs and one I wasn’t prepared for I’m linking here. Spoiling for those who want to stay blind.

I knew about him but didn’t know that was the reason for the repaints, and I really did wonder why the super similar ones, like Gururumon (not misspelled. He’s a bit more purple where Garurumon is blue) or NiseDrimogemon (‘nise’ meaining ‘fake.’ Think Drimogemon with a moustache.)

And NiseDrimogemon is the one with the pencil mustache. Drimogemon has whiskers instead.
