When I was going through 4th through 6th grade, I hated the church bells going off on the way to the chapel (Private school). They were loud and went off when I least expected them to. I felt like Venom in Spiderman 3. Eventually, they convinced the bell guy to set off the bells until after I went inside, when I could anticipate them.

I’m still convinced the moon is going to fall.

I’m getting The Legend of Dragon flashbacks after reading that.

My parents used to infrequently take me to a store that was built inside of an large old greenhouse, they had an oil fired furnace that used to start unexpectedly, used to start hell out of me. 22 years later the heater is still there, I laugh about it now.

Are you a cat? I used to love lying in bed listening to the vacuum, found it to be very soothing.

I can relate though, my dad used to have a Vax wet and dry vac that he kept in a shed, I was terrified of it, sitting there, plotting some gruesome method of killing me. Weird I know but it gave me the creeps.

The giant insect scene in King Kong 2005, most particularly… this fucking abomination.

Water slides also used to scare me since I nearly drowned at the age of 11. Even today, I still feel a little uneasy around them even after the fact that I’ve learned to swim.

I’ve once feared roller coasters and thrill rides in amusement parks as a kid, until my older brother made me enter a roller coaster when I was 16 that changed my mind about them after the fact (felt an adrenaline rush like no other) and since then, I can enter any of them without any fear.

The black holes from Super Mario Galaxy and the sequel. I still love those games, but everytime I saw a black hole or fell into one I would always get scared by them because of how they looked and that goddamned noise when you get sucked into one. Doesn’t help that in some of them, the camera zooms into it for some stupid reason. I used to get actual nightmares about them as a kid and had a hard time falling asleep. Even now as an adult, they still unnerve me.
