What video game glitches have you received in your time that are either hilarious or make you want to rage?

I, for one, recently recieved one in the Wii version of Chrono Trigger that’s pissed me off. Frog is standing literally right in front of where the Masamune is. I’m positive that’s where I have to get it from, and due to some glitch there is literally no way to get around him to the sword. I’m stuck.

What about you?

I only remember one glitch in my time and that in Sonic Generations 3D, i don’t know what happened but in Mushroom hill i ended up floating in spin dash form all the way up to the top of the level where there wasn’t even any ground, i just kept going up and up without end.

Aparently this glitch was also in Sonic and Knukles after i did some research.

I was actually just playing the knife of dunwall and a butcher kept yelling at me but I couldn’t find him. It turned out that he was stuck between an open door and a wall. I forget exactly what his last words were but it was something along the lines of how he let me get away and he was going to kill me.

Also while not a glitch I did have an experience with ultima 7 that was almost as stupid as a glitch.
Y’see if you have the forge of virtue expansion you can make this badass sword that you can basically ask to kill something and it will. That combined with the Armageddon spell meant I was pretty much equipped to murder the crap out of anything. Anything EXCEPT stone harpies. Stone harpies are immune to ALL forms of magic. Nowhere in the game, instruction manual or even the ultima wiki is this mentioned. So hear I am, fruitlessly wailing on this stone harpy for like ten minutes so I assume my game is broken. Then someone tells me that if I just beat her up with my bare hands she’ll go down like a punk. And it worked.
Stone harpies are stupid.

Last time I was playing Fallout New Vegas, I was doing the Honest Hearts Add-on and I decided to wipe out the White Legs (Like hell if I’m letting these guys ruin the survivalist’s legacy for the Sorrows).
There was this part where the sorrows light a few captive white legs on fire and push them into the canyon. For some reason when they kicked the burning guys off the ledge they went ragdoll, started freaking out, limbs stretching everywhere, and suddenly catapulted into the sky.

The Anti-Normies
back when a i played Banjo-Tooie, i discovered that while doing Banjo solo i could do a double jump by jumping, attacking with B and pressing jump again, much years later i learned that was a glitch.

I was playing Dawn of Mana, had been playing for a time but was into the action and was running along pretty well. Ran down a hallway when I suddenly rounded a corner and…

Nothing, the hallway ended in a big empty blue space with the moon floating randomly in there. So I ran back only to be greeted with the exact same picture on the other side. I became trapped in this small L-shaped space with absolutely no escape. I could not escape, so I reloaded and returned. It happened again and I quit playing.

Strangest glitch I had was when I was playing the Fallout 3 DLC Operation Anchorage. At the end of it you get a nifty Chinese Stealth Suit that gives you an invisibility effect whenever you crouch. Unfortunately whenever I equipped it it would make my head disappear.

Was weird to say the least

Ocellus is best buggo
One time when I was playing New Vegas I was crouching around Nipton and went to 3rd person view.

My character’s fingers were stretched into some bizarre cage around her. Freaked me out.

There’s this one house in L.A. Noire that has a glitched front door. I walked up to see if I could open the door, but as soon as I pressed up to it I started walking straight up into the air. The amazing flying detective then ragdolled out on the roof while screaming.

It’s totally repeatable and I don’t think they ever patched it.

Finally a Red Mage
I had a rather odd glitch occur to me earlier today, I was playing Devil May Cry 4, specificly mission 18 where you had to fight the Savior, on Dante Must Die difficulty.

In the first part of the fight, where you have to destroy most of the gems on the Savior’s body, I think I managed to destroy the last gem and get captured by a Fault (it’s an enemy that takes you to a room to fight a bunch of enemies if it gets you) at almost the exact same time. When I got back to the fight, ALL the gems on the Savior’s body were repaired, and the Savior himself activated his Devil Trigger, which he should only do when he’s close to death in the second part of the fight.

After I managed to destroy the gems again (I destroyed the one on his head last if it makes any difference) the entire screen went black, but I was still able to control the game normaly, so I decided to seewhat would happen if I went into the items menu. The game returned to normal once I did this, exept for the fact that the Savior was at this point foating about where the rest of the fight was supposed to take place, and I was stuck on one of the platforms he would fall onto if you managed to stun him, with no way to contine the fight. So I decided to just walk about for a bit, right up until I fell off a platform, for some reason the invisible walls that kept you from falling over the edge had un-loaded,and Dante was just falling endlessly.

It was a fun glitch.

I do remember that there is a glitch in Mario Kart DS. If you try to do a spin turn on the first staircase on Luigi’s Mansion, the game will completely freeze. I think it was fixed in the 3DS version.
