I did watched it but planned on skipping it because Oliveira got injured. I knew Belal is gonna beat Burns in a boring decision but hot damn give credit to him being this active and taking this fight on a short notice. That’s a real warrior right there.

Also I watched Sergei Pavlovich destroy Curtis Blaydes in yet another 1st round KO last week. Did you watch that?

I did. That man’s a MONSTER! Imo Ngannou is still the most destructive puncher in HW (when he was active) but Sergei is lethal with his long reach. You don’t need scary One-Punch power if you could land consecutive clean beefy punches, which Sergei does.

Blaydes felt confident enough trading with Sergei until he realized it wasn’t a good idea, but it was way too late.

Ppl do be saying Sergei vs Jon Jones next–but I legit want to see Sergei vs Gane.

Pavlovich fighting Jones already is like when Francis fought Stipe for the first time in which people believed his power would put his lights out but NO! Turns out to be a massive schooling by Stipe to the challenger. Jones could be a better grappler than Miocic right now after what he did to Cyril.

Pav relies so much on his power over the course of his career but there are multidimensional fighters he hasn’t faced yet.

We all now have a reason to laugh and shame MMA Guru right now.

I don’t like the idea of Pav vs Jones exactly because we ain’t seen Pav’s grappling skills yet. The last time Overeem took Pav down he got destroyed. I can’t tell if Sergei’s improved from that.

Blaydes should have been the one to see if Pav’s grappling is up to snuff but NOOOO he stood the whole time and got clobbered.

So yeah. Jones would absolutely school Sergei Pavlovich. If he F’d Gane he could F Pav. This is why I’d rather see Gane vs Pav first, and let Jones fight Stipe and one of them can retire after.

Jones though said his next fight will be his retirement fight which is number one bullshit to me. He signed an 8-fight contract on the HW Division.

100% agree with you that Sergei Pavlovich should fight Ciryl Gane next for the proof of the Big Russian’s resiliency in many fight skills including ground.

If Stipe vs. Jones ain’t gonna happen as much as I wanted them to fight on July which that is unfortunately gonna be, then Jon should face Tom Aspinall instead.

Francis Ngannou used to be a one-trick pony before getting to Stipe and got schooled for that. Then after that he learned how to TDD him in their 2nd fight and knocked out Miocic. Then when he faced Ciryl Gane where he was soo agile and mobile for his size that Francis couldn’t seem to find some opening to knock him out, he resorted into wrestling in the most surprising way possible.

Now if Sergei relies so much on his strength, it’s not gonna be enough unless his extraordinary reach and precise boxing would make a difference.

Francis may be a one-punch destroyer, but Sergei has the better striking accuracy balanced with power.

Haha ppl r hyping up Belal Muhammad now bcus’ he beat Gilbert Burns and gassed him out and their logic of Khamzat got busted up by Burns and Belal crippled Burns’ legs throughout the fight and it’s 5 fucking rounds.
