I’ve got a friend whose Christian and sees these types of movies on sale whenever she goes to Church.

IMO Christianity ruined itself the moment it started persecuting anyone who (reasonably) suggested Jesus was probably a con man (read: Jews).

Well i’m trying to find the religion that lets me be a blatant scientific narcissist

This god stuff is cool, I just pay my respects. I don’t necessarily believe anything i say hear or write. I practice some spirituality as a basic function. Such as talking to myself, and prosocial behavior.

My morality is to be of benifit to someone or some thing any and everyway i can, aside from being sober of.

Sometimes there is no words or measurements for what we are looking for. This is how god came to be I imagine.

Isn’t Christians saying “Hallelujah!” a form of cultural appropriation? Especially since 99% of Christians don’t even speak or understand Hebrew?

If we’re being serious, I’d say it’s a case of cultural osmosis (not sure if that’s the right term to use though) than cultural appropriation.

The phrase has been repeated so much in western culture that it’s become a common phrase like “Thank god”

It’s just a thing people say now because they’ve grown up hearing other people say it for so long

Online, whenever anyone claims they are “Orthodox”, they may be either:

A far-right meme nerd who just puts on cosplay, mostly thinking “Orthodox=conservative”.

Some fanatic from Europe, like a Serbian or a russian nationalist.

It makes me think “all Orthodox Christians are conservative fanatics”. Is it possible to be Orthodox and not be authoritarian or homophobic?

Nope. Orthodox means exactly what it means. Just ask Orthodox Jews in Israel.

Is it all right if I refer to God as Goddess instead? I feel more comfortable having a female deity.

Should gods exist, they are likely far beyond gender classification. So feel free to interpret then in any way you wish.

Well so far, I’ve picked Aphrodite and Amazon Pandora to be possible deities for me to think about whenever I doubt myself or think my life sucks.

I choose to personify my preferred deity as a female as well. Given that females “carry life” and all that.

But I fully acknowledge that applying any human logic to the gods would be an utterly fruitless endeavor. They would be completely beyond our ability to classify.

Like trying to gender the wind, or a sunbeam. They are ethereal concepts.
