Can we hotlink to images on other sites?

I’m asking this because there’s an animated gif I want to share with some guys on another forum, but it’s too big to upload to an image hosting site like imgur.
 
Is hotlinking to Derpibooru images on other sites allowed, or will this site somehow block it?

We won’t block it. Of that site allows hotlinking, it’ll work here.
