EQG name tags?

Why exactly do tags like “Amelia Jems” and “Paulina Pettifer” exist, even after those names have been proven fake?

You could, like, untag them. I haven’t seen the movie, so I’m not touching tagging on anything EqG related bar system tags.

they kinda are useful for explicitly indicating the EQGverse counterparts, just like some people still tag “Princess Twilight”

If people don’t want to see them, why not just block the “equestria girls” tag? I don’t see the point in having extra tags of fake names when you could just use the normal name and the “equestria girls” tag.

dunno, perhaps if the mane 6 were to meet the EQGverse mane6…  
then again, people have apparently been unwilling to draw pics of that sorta jumbled stuff happening
