Tag Aliases - Read the first page before suggesting.

Why? I’m curious. Do you have to process not only images from the aliased tag, but also from the main tag? Can’t it be done with lower priority or something?

I’m not entirely sure it would crash the site (aliasing is done one image at a time), but it may be possible, and likely would have a negative effect on site performance regardless.
 
But yes, it does have to reindex every image on both sides of the alias. There’s only one worker process that handles alias based reindexing, so it’s literally doing the alias one image at a time. One of our programmers posted a fairly detailed explanation explaining why large tags are generally frowned upon when aliasing, and how it may be fixed in the future.

idunno, anything that will help let people know what it’s supposed to be used for. “Use for handguns other than revolvers such as automatics and single-shots.”
 
Maybe the handgun tag could also say “One-handed firearms. Specify revolver for revolvers or pistol for others such as automatics.”

The two tags imply each other, but most composite/shipping tags only imply “vinyl scratch”, so a big discrepancy exists even on newer images since implications don’t cascade.

As of now, “one color” has one monochrome image and the rest are sketches.

Monochrome means “Images that are predominantly in one colour, which does not necessarily mean greyscale.” (from the description of the “Monochrome” tag) In this case the 15 images with single color lines are monochrome, as they consist entirely of one color.

I always thought “not necessarily greyscale” meant to remind peeps that hued monochrome is also a thing. But if lineart and sketches count as monochrome, shouldn’t “lineart” imply “monochrome”?
