Are there any fandoms that complain as much as the brony fandom?

Do the fans of shows like Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, and Star vs. the Forces of Evil bash new episodes and characters as much as bronies do? Did the SpongeBob SquarePants, Simpsons, Powerpuff Girls, or Rugrats movies get as much hatred from fans as the MLP movie did?

I think so . But since we and the steven universe fans had the internet since 2010/2011 before tumblr took its good things , i think so . The ones that have over reacted with ships are svtfoe because of a kissnig scene in season 3 . They are crying on tumblr and instagram right now

I’m sorry but… I’m taking side with Eyeguy (AKA WanderPony) about this, and now I Will tell you why. Before TWABA aired I already had a lot of problems with all those idiots who consider the S1 the supreme perfection, while all the other ones are crap. Those morons are even more unstandeable than Genwunners, Meleeians or old Fire Emblem eliters….
 
But it’s after the S6 that things Got really derailed. I’m not a big fan of that season Myself, it definitely didn’t do justice to the main characters like the first five Seasons did (The Saddle Row Review and Map eps aside of Course), however the S7 AND the Movie putted everything back in track, excluding the moment in whivh RD gets captured by Caballeron without even trying to escape (worst moment of the whole S7 For me… And pretty much the only one I hated altogether with Rutheford putting His Honor over His tribe’s safety) but I think that the fandom took a terrible direction after it. Ever since that season aired I’ve seen more and more People turning their backs against the Mane 6, THE PULSING CORES OF THE ENTIRE SERIES. Not only all their best moments from S7 and the Movie have been deliverately ignored, but also People seem to have forgot all their best ones from the first five Seasons… Like if they never happened in the first place.
 
Shall we also talk about those idiots who started shotposting against Twilight Sparkle because a stupid fanmade video that has nothing. Nothing. NOTHING to do with MLP? Maybe not, it would be just a waste of time.
 
Honestly I’m starting to feel like the word fan is assuming the exact opposite meaning it’s supposed to have, but For this fandom things seem to be multiplied For 10000… It’s already bad enough to have genwunners-like People in it… But People who betray their own words because a bad season or a fanmade video is something I find just unforgiveable.
 
It’s a good thing that after the S9 the show Will be over. No more new episodes. No more hype around the Series. (almost) no more jerks who complain About everything. And more genuine fans coming For the years to come. I just hope the show’s reputation Will stand up by then…

It’s not My fault if many fans are so idiotic to have a change of heart about everything concerning the Series only because a bad season and a fan made video… Then again, I admit that this is a subject that touches me on the personal as I’ve seen this again in past… Have you ever been trashed by someone you considered a friend only because you Always beaten him at Smash Bros (and no, I wasn’t a jerk by slamming it into His face or similar dumb things when I did that, in case you’re wondering)?

The only times a series gets bashed this much is when it’s obviously gone through seasonal rot (like SpongeBob, The Simpsons, and Fairly OddParents), hence why I wish MLP had never continued past Season 4.

Except For the part “shouldn’t have gone over the S4” I agree that many fans are WAY too aggressive when new eps come out. This is gonna end once fore all once FiM ends the next year. Until then, just endure For 18 more months alright?

Look , season 8 looks okay , animation looks great and it isn’t bad , what’s bad is eg . Eg has this issue . I know it has like in fim but there are characters that even don’t get to speak like in slice of life . They just stand there like nothing

You really don’t get out much if you think this is the fandom that complains the most. Ever looked at Star Trek, Star Wars, Transformers? Not to mention long running game fandoms like for Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry etc.
 
This happens often in every long running fandom in existance. There’s also tons of isolated events that cause controversy like in the Doom fandom.
