Berrow chapter books

So here’s a summary of some of them that have already come out:

I bought the Daring Do book collection and Luna book, but I only got about a paragraph or so into either before losing interest. I don’t know why, but they just rub me the wrong way.  
I also have the Elements of Harmony and Journal of the Two Sisters, but I just flipped through them. The latter having the same kind of off-feeling as the Berrow books.

I feel like Berrow wrote Daring Do and made it more interesting than either of the episodes involving her. Even counting the fact that she’s a real character in Equestria. Luna book was actually really, really good and had a lot of development.
 
Forget who wrote the Elements of Harmony (which IIRC was mostly an art book) but Amy Keating Rogers wrote the Journal, not Berrow.

Also, I just realized The Mane Attraction directly referenced the Ponypalooza book.

I know AKR wrote the journal. Probably why I didn’t get far into it. Not really an AKR fan.

Only thing I don’t like about her writing is the alliteration.

I’m not fond of the direction she takes Pinkie/Luna.

Finally, I only read the Daring Do books. I really loved the first one, second one I’m mixed. And Third, well, I’m hoping Berrow makes more.

I think they’re releasing them all separately. I’ll be sad if she doesn’t get to write the Daring Do episode in S6.

Ugh, the re-releases are horrible… they completely ruin the front covers with the MLP logo and should have put in the front.
 
I do have a theory that the books are already canon. But it could be coincidental… and highly spoilery to those who have not yet read the books. Well, it’s only in Marked Thief.

People are still debating though. Still, the books are more canon than canon (Comic-wise) so yes. And the comics are extremely word for god since they kind of have big risks with their stories. Daring Do isn’t. Still, I have yet on reading the other mane 6’s books and Discord’s. But RD mention on Daring Do Double Dare.
 
As for my theory, it is a massive spoiler to those who haven’t read it. So a spoiler tag is in this comment will be in. || The Crystal Sphere of Kuhmm that is needed to heal Mojo’s cutie mark is hidden in the Temple of Tehuti. Tehuti is the name after the Ancient Egypt god of astrology, science, and magic. He is mirrored after an ibis. And if you look at Castle Mania, Daring Do and the Riddle of the Sphinx. It is a huge possibility that it already happened without the actual book from the poster happening.||

I think Berrow’s stated on at least one occasion that she’s not too proud about how “Crystal Heart Spell” turned out, since when she wrote it she didn’t know much about the characters and I guess was given the details of Cadance’s backstory by Meghan McCarthy.

Actually you could consider that book a jumping the shark moment for Cadence due to how she ascended.

I have yet on reading it. I’m just saying she at least acknowledge her faults unlike specific writers from IDW who do not accept their faults. coughTEDANDERSONcough
