What Would You Change About the Show?

I feel like every episode since S3 is rushed. I would have extend episodes length to 25-30 minute. 20 minute is just too short for more developed episodes.

I’d turn it darker and grittier and over all make it terrible.
 
I’d be aiming for trying to further develop the characters and give the show smarter writing while trying to keep the happy tone, but I’m quite certain it wouldn’t turn out that way.

steven universe is basically the closet indication to what a TV-PG MLP FIM would look like since both shows are similar

If I cannot have the time extended, then I increase the number of 2/3/4-parters to better develop elements.
 
2nd: Make TexasUberAlles the story editor, because he has a good grasp on what’s what, and would keep things in line with the lore and story developments.
 
3rd: Consequentialism, and lots of it. If there’s one thing RR shows us, it’s that the consequences of previous actions can both matter, and lead to interesting new developments and directions regarding the characters, story, and setting.
 
4th: Make the narrative organic. This is related to the above, in that changes actually matter. It doesn’t have to be serialised, but if something of consequence happens, then it should stick, with the characters, setting, and story reacting to it in a logical, believable fashion.
 
5th: Kick Twilight upstairs, and bring in Sunset Shimmer. Twilight’s story is essentially done in my mind, thus make her a secondary character. Bring SS in to replace her.
 
6th: Flesh out the setting, and make places like the Crystal Empire feel different, instead of just looking different. Give them their own unique quirks, cultures, and feels, so to expand the breath of the setting.

No more alicorns and no more Cadance, please.
 
Also yes, please more consequences and less reset buttons.

in my find there should also be a miniseries I mean with over the garden wall success and long live the royals & adventure time miniseries(called stakes) I think MLP FIM can do one if adventure time can

Remove episode 100 from existence, make Spike get treated better, and give more character to Cadence, Shining Armor, and Celestia.
 
Also, more Flash Sentry with him being more fleshed out and still a love interest and in the actual episodes and not just EQG too.
 
Partly because I’d like to see people squirm and bitch, and also because I genuinely like the guy.
 
Anything else I could change would be based on preferences, so I’ll leave it at that.

-Rewrite episode 100 and give Vinyl Scratch a speaking role (Maybe hire Nowacking to voice her while I’m at it.).
 
-Have an episode where Twilight must deal with an angry mob who are against her castle.
 
-Fire whoever’s responsible for drawing those creepy-ass faces this season, and find someone who can draw more kid-friendly expressions (This is a kid’s show, after all.).
 
That’s all I can think of.
 
EDIT Just thought of another thing.
 
-Make Rainbow Dash do more masculine and athletic things. For the past few episodes this “tomboy” has been doing nothing but girly things (I.E. Ballet dancing, shopping for gems, wearing dresses, screaming like a literal bitch, etc.); not once has she done the one thing that’s part of this athlete’s character.

I would change the TV rating to TV-PG because in many ways steven universe is an indication of what a TV-PG MLP FIM might look like at least in my opinion

End the “Spike abuse” and newly “Discord abuse” that is going on in the show.

make twilight sparkle more relateable

and like I said before would have made equestria girls, rainbow rocks and the coming friendship games into cartoon miniseries with mccarthy and crew along with a few guest writers and storyboard artists each miniseries being 10 episodes long that is all for now

Erase Season 4 and 5 and finish the series with Twilight flying over the screen.  
Erase Rainbow Rocks too, keep the first EqG.

I wouldn’t get rid of anything that’s already there, but I WOULD give Shining Armor, Cadance, and Celestia more screen time than what they’ve had already.

I would also try to get sunset shimmer into the main cast. She would work as a more aggressive foil to Twilight.
 
And give the sisters an episode to develop them.

maybe rase the TV rating to TV-Y7 for the miniseries and include guest writers and storyboard artist like adventure time is doing for its TV miniseries also include a plot too big for the main show

just had a thought natasha allegri creator of fionna and cake & bee and puppycat would be a good writer on the MLP FIM TV miniseries that is all for now

Introduce three new CMC and have a “Filly Six” to go with the Mane Six

Stop the marginalization of Princess Celestia.
