why did chrysalis want to marry shining armor in A Canterlot Wedding?

i’m asking because twilight said “I get why the queen of the changelings wanted to be with you, but how did you get someone as amazing as cadence to be with you!” but why did the queen of the changelings want to be with shining?

Umm… the whole point was that Chrysalis was draining Shining Armor’s love for Cadance so that Chrysalis could take over Canterlot.
