Will There Ever be an Offical MLP:FIM Video Game?

While that game does look good, it’s just a fan game. For this thread, I wanna know if there will be an official game (And by “Official” I mean “Licensed by Hasbro”).

Only the Gameloft app and that Equestria Girls app are the official “Licensed by Hasbro” games, so far.
 
It’s just that Hasbro, being the first party, just do not want non-magical violence, vulgarities and (blatant) adult references in their prized franchise for little girls.

From the vids that I have seen, that game tarnished the reputation of its dev team.
 
 
And I used to play Rovio’s Bad Piggies.

If they did make an official MLP game, I’d really like if it was a platformer similar to Mario, with levels and enemies being taken from the series {And some original ones to fill out the game} and the bosses all being monsters and other antagonists from the show. Think of it like a more detailed and in-depth version of Adventure Ponies, preferably with 16-bit graphics, much more levels, actual enemies and the option to play as whichever of the mane 6 you want right from the start as opposed to having to unlock them.

Has anyone noticed that they made one already? An app?

trying to be realistic let just wayforward do a MLP video game for 3DS or it’s successor with meghan mccarthy writing the story similar to pen ward & JG quintel did for adventure time & regular show games wayforward would basically make it for kids with the older fans in mind also if it’s possible hasbro and nintendo could make a bundle with the game and a MLP FIM themed 3DS

Yes, I-and many others on this site-are aware that the MLP App game exists (In fact, I mentioned it at the end of my original post), but it sucks. I’m wanting to know when an actual, non-mobile phone video game will be made.

3DS is a good candidate because I doubt they make a high buget console game plus despite the fandase the main audience is still little girls but I’d think if hasbro finds a developer who can push 3DS to it’s limits like nintendo themselves or with capcom has done with monster hunter on 3DS

Here’s the thing about a FiM game: It will be instantly flooded with Bronies, if it’s multilayer, most bronies will talk about mature stuff in chat 90% of the time and that tends to turn away parents of little girls.

So an MMORPG would be out of the question. That still leaves the option of making a game that doesn’t involve people interacting with each other in online chat. Probably best to just go with a platform game or something.

I want a MLP theme for my 3DS menu

There’s got to be an entire series of over-the-top action platformers that uses a shared universe similarly to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That way, you can do a bigger cast justice better, gradually set up a grand scheme, and have multiple Avengers-style team ups after every few solo games.
