Its a time for expansion for Equestria, and what better then to the western prairies, deserts and mountain ranges, a land of mystery, adventure, new possibilities and more. But its not all good news, for this is a lawless land, which means that if you want to stop something then you’ll have to do it yourself, or hire mercenaries. The times are gonna be a little different from what the idea is based on, its still around the mid 1800’s but with a more Steampunk feel to it, just my way of making things more interesting and allowing for creative ideas.
This is anthro, meaning that everything has hands and you can pick what species your character(s) is as long as its native to the Equestrian planet. So if its not in the show then its a no go.

1: The Equestrian government. Ruled by the royal sisters trying to expand Equestria’s borders for their citizens. Any city where the Equestrian Guards actually have laws, benefits are that making a life in these towns is easy and you’re safe from trouble, only the most daring outlaws make themselves known in these towns.
2: The Armstrong company. The number one mining company in the whole world, upon hearing about Equestria’s expansion have decided to work out a deal with the Princesses to help with this goal as long as they get to establish mines. Needing the extra support Celestia and Luna agreed, the benefits of an Armstrong outpost is that the law is more relaxed, however there is a larger chance of outlaw and bandit raids along with the fact that its harder to live there, unless you play your cards right.
3: Outlaws. These are the ones who live outside the law, these ruthless men and women are more often then not wanted for more then one crime, however that does not mean that they are all bad, its not common but there are those who take the law into their own hands, this usually make them wanted but that’s only if they’re caught in the act. Outlaws can even be hired to do jobs, this can be anywhere from collecting payments from deadbeats or robbing banks.
