comic:tactile response rape tag

the tag for rape in that comic gets deleted all the time.
i saw a mod even tagged it onces as rape. and on the latest page its gone again?
people constantly deleting the rape tag from this comic.
fluttershy never gave concent for this and is too shy to say stop. that is clearly rape terretory.
is there an official statement from the mod team about this situation?

It’s image by image. Some images are probably going to be rape, some images are not going to be rape. Because of the fetishes involved some images are not black and white on consent and even staff can’t agree without talking about it for a couple of days.

Tag warring on the images isn’t helping. Neither is the vandalism. IIRC least a couple of this images in the series has been hit, however tangentially, by a bulk tag vandal and so you’re going to see tag reversals where the moderator didn’t look at each image to confirm whether the tags were right or not because we were bulk reverting thousands or even tens of thousands of tag changes.

So, please stop tag warring on the images. Report them for Rule #2 and we’ll keep reviewing them, image by image.

And, who knows. Maybe the best solution is the whole thing is ‘rape by proxy’ since the spa is just doing what Rarity paid for.

image by image is understandable. but in the case of a whole comic, it kinda makes sense to give it the rape from start to finish, because that is a subject that happens in this comic. and people who hide this tag and start reading the comic and 2 pages are missing and the story doesnt make any sense anymore, the viewer will get confused on what is going on. and then discovers that the comic has rape in it. and will probably be disappointed. so imo when a story contains a tag like rape, it should be applied to all pages. should be done with explicit too. why even start reading a comic, when it will be explicit, even tho the first pages arent but the viewer doesnt even know yet. there should be a special tagging rule for comics or picture sets.

We tag each image individually - not each image based on what happens in the whole series. Image A shouldn’t be tagged based on what happens on image B.

Sure - ok, propose how that would work. What dev changes would be necessary? Can it be done with some new category of tag? What’s your proposal? A good start might bee to make a new ‘Proposal: ,,,’ thread, something unrelated to a specific series because it might get used on a lot of them. For me, I’m not for it. It seems entirely unworkable. As a story gets uploaded page by page you don’t know what the series might include that could trigger people - often the artists don’t know either. And a year later, do you go back and retagging every previous image in the series because one page has a miscarriage or a rape or a murder? And then how do you keep those series-related tags on all the images in a series when one page out of a whole book might make the entire series filtered? Someone would have to keep track of what tags applied o the series as a whole and manage that.I can’t imagine how it would work or how it would be of so much benefit that it would be worth the overhead and extra work. But if you can, then propose it.

Why not just filter the entire comic then instead of having a tag fight with other users about what theme of the comic is? 🤔
