I’m not saying it’s bad or anything just saying what I think it looks like if they want to take that information and do something with it they can if they don’t want to they don’t have to their art looks fine. Still looks like chitin tho. :I

It’s the same color as her face there’s no difference at all.
It’s not chitin, it’s just a bit lighter grey than her chitin, fitting the normal changeling tail color~
