“My attitude” means I could’t possibly enjoy something if it happens to be affiliated with something I do enjoy? Logic, please?
 
That you assume anyone here would take issue with her popularity strictly for it’s own sake is another irrational stance, but maybe I can help.
 
Through the course of the movie, the only thing Sonata does to set her apart from the other two is act like a dolt, yet she’s lavished with praise and adoration, regularly declared to be the best because of memes and cuteness (ignoring the fact that Aria and Adagio had their moments as well). Over in the fanfic community, she’s regularly written to be the most successful, most well-liked, and most morally upstanding, as though air-headedness somehow translates to innocence and purity despite her canonically taking just as much delight in hurting people as the other two.  
There are obviously exceptions, but take a good look at siren fan-art in general and you may notice a running theme of Sonata getting/doing whatever she wants while the others suffer her company, particularly in comics. It’s the same in most fanfics; Sonata being redeemed and getting a happy ending while Aria, Adagio, or both are ‘pure evil’ and wind up miserable or die in a ditch.
 
And what do we draw from the character to get all of this? Some bone-head moments and an obsession with Mexican food. As I said, there’s no reason one can’t enjoy her antics, but it seems pretty straight-forward to see why some might find her fans off-putting. I actually like Sonata, her childish “You are!” comeback was what first got me to pay attention to the Dazzlings, but some of her fans (like, say, those that fall over themselves to sing her praises for being a dope or those that just have to gripe at people for pointing out how overrated she is) sour things for some of us.

Well given your attitude you wouldn’t be missing much anyway. It’s really silly to have a go at something just because it’s popular.

Just because I find her overrated doesn’t mean I’m annoyed with her. Besides, it’s my opinion, don’t get upset about it.

Problem with filtering out any of the sirens: it filters out pictures of the others too if she happens to be in them. Given that the sirens are kind of a unit, that’s a lot of them.
 
And, they’re right, she is more popular than her actions rightly warrant, I don’t think that’s hard to recognize. Does it mean you have to enjoy her ditzy glory any less? Of course not.

and yet you clicked on a picture of her to write that instead of simply ignoring or filtering her. That’s far more tiresome than she could ever be.

Yeah, personally, I just don’t see what was so interesting about the character aside from a few small bits. Other than that she was just kinda bland and a little annoying, but that’s just me.

she’s overrated and also my least favorite Dazzling out of the group.

Am I the only one who thinks Sonata is kinda overrated.
