The main point of the manga (that originated the anime) is: “Hmmm, what would happen if I wrote a shonen manga where the protagonist has the power to defeat anyone with one single punch since the first chapter. There would be a story to be told yet? Or would it be utterly boring?”
The result is a great anime/manga. That’s basically a parody of all shounen manga, and shows that not everything can be solved by punching things even if your punch has so much power as the big bang.
One Punch Man is a straight parody of anime’s tendency to never “settle for usual”. Shit’s great.
Anime is overdoing it a little, but yeah hes powerful.

Holy fuck… Is One Punch Man really that powerful? I thought that show was just a show about a guy getting into bar fights… I should have expected Anime wouldn’t settle for usual.
