Of course that is not the case in the final draft of the film. I don’t know why they would want only one hippogriff help the Mane Six and Spike save Equestria and the rest of the world from the Storm King’s wrath of tyranny. I would agree that the Mane Six, Spike, Princess Skystar, Capper, Captain Celaeno and her crew would save Equestria from the Storm King for Queen Novo and the rest of the hippogriff/sea-pony population. Not to mention a technical error seen in the season eight episode Father Knows Beast which had Twilight stated that the Mane Six helps the hippogriffs defeat the Storm King and his minions.

Well, the movie has changed. And we finally get to have scene of the movie where the Mane Six going to liberate Ponyville, Canterlot, Cloudsdale, the Crystal Empire, the Everfree Forest, Manehattan, Appleloosa, Las Pegasus, and the rest of all Equestria together with Capper, the pirates, and Princess Skystar. And this scene with the Mane Six and Spike and their new friends they made beyond Equestria are saving and liberating Equedtria from the Storm King is so awesome to watch. And since the hippogriffs helping the Mane Six, Capper, and the pirates save Equestria from the Storm King’s tyranny didn’t make it into the finished film, I guess a lot of fans including me would agree that Princess Skystar is saving Equestria for her mother, her family, and the rest of the hippogriff/sea pony population. Because the Mane Six were seeking help from Queen Novo and Princess Skystar came to help. I would agree that Princess Skystar was doing it for Mount Aris and Hippogriffia that the Storm King had destroyed prior to the events of both the movie and the tv show.

Yeah. But sadly, we didn’t get to see the hippogriffs flying around and/or past Mount Aris and the sea ponies jumping in and out of the water in the film. But we did see them in season 8.

I like the movie but a scene of the Mane Six going to liberate Canterlot together with the pirates and a horde of hippogriffs would have been awesome.

I honestly like these unused bird pirate designs more.

Does this mean seaponies can turn into hippogriffs under their own will?

This is concept art. The hippogriffs we’ve seen do not look like this.

Anatomy train wreck! I know Buckbeak had wrists below ankles even though they’re the same joint on different limbs, but MLP has always had more decent anatomy.
