“Racist barn, racist barn, 1, 2, 3, 4, together we can racist barn, 1, 2, 3 ,4!”
FloydPinkerton

If it’s like a farm in real life, it probably has several barns of various ages. Given that they graze sheep and keep pigs (presumably not in modern high-density conditions) in addition to keeping up an apple orchard with hundreds of trees (according to Big Mac in “Applebuck Season”) and the unseen vineyard implied by “Sisterhooves Social,” it’s probably hundreds of acres with a number of buildings.

I mean Rainbow Dash demolishing the barn in S02E03. I figured that was to make room for her new barn.

There were a lot of continuity nods this episode–Fluttershy’s bear friend and Rainbow Dash reading Daring Do.

And applejack made a bet with big Mac that he had to wear a gurdle and an episode or two later he had an injured rib.
Conclusion: apples = continuity retention.

I noticed the continuity with Rainbow Dash, but that’s a good point about the barn-raising. I wouldn’t think it’s the same barn, though. It doesn’t seem to be a large part of Sweet Apple Acres. (I first thought she meant barn-like farm house.)
