Here’s some random facts about “The Wizard of Menlo Park”
 
-His form of electricity, Direct Current, would have required power stations at regular, 1-mile intervals
 
-He cheated Tesla out of thousands of dollars of work done for him under the guise that he was “joking”
 
-He electrocuted an elephant to death in order to demonstrate how “dangerous” AC current was, and personally recommended it be used to power the electric chair at Sing Sing
 
-He didn’t believe people would want to listen to music on phonographs, and by the time he was convinced was outcompeted in the market

His talent was a tower that never actually worked, yet still was decades ahead of its time?

I know exactly what went wrong:  

A pony after my own heart. Built my first Tesla Coil at 14. Pissed my mom off because it fried our microwave….oops. The guy was a genius.

One of this world’s greatest inventors, and an honest to goodness mad scientist.
