RD being drunk is probably the only way you’d get her to dress like this.

It gets better/worse: Sneaky Applejack took pictures. Lots of pictures. Dash wakes up the next morning too hungover to realize what she looks like, gets in the shower and washes the makeup away without realizing it was ever there, heads down into town, and finds AJ & Pinkie giggling like idiots over a picture AJ’s holding. She asks what’s up, they stop, look up at her and start laughing harder.
 
AJ: (with a big grin) “Well, obviously y’all had fun at Rarity’s last night.”
 
RD: “…What’s that supposed to mean?”
 
AJ: (grins gets even bigger) “Drunk. Makeover.”
 
Dash buts in, takes one look at the picture, and somehow manages to blush beet-red and go pale at the same time, going into a Blue-Screen moment, trying to say something but no words are coming out other than tiny little horrified squeaks.
 
Pinkie: “I gotta say, Dashie: you looked faaabulous, dahling!” (laughing her flank off)
