they could’ve just /fill (coordinate 1) (coordinate 2) air then /fill (coordinate 1) (coordinate 2) grass for the ground. that would explain the leaves. /fill command is the poor man’s worldedit

if the ground really was cleared out by hand for his pixel art (even if creative mode was used) then why are half the leaves missing on that birch tree to the right? i think this person used “worldedit” or some sort of other mod to clear out that land when, to be honest, they could have just used a superflat world.
