I dunno about rulers but I remember hearing that there used to be Alicorns pre-Discord that produced Celestia and Luna, then something happened, most likely the Rise Of Discord, leaving just Celestia and Luna, with the exceptions of ascendants like Cadænce and Twilight, up until the birth of Flurry Heart.

Are there any Alicorn rulers that ruled Equestria before Celestia and Luna and after the founding Equestria? Are the founders of Equestria, Princess Platium, Commander Hurricane and Chancellor Puddinghead were the very first rulers of Equestria before Alicorns rule Equestria? I heard that there’s an Alicorn princess mare and an Earth pony prince stallion in the episode “Hearts and Hooves Day”, two female Alicorns that bear resemblances to Twilight and Cadance that are depicted in portrait on a Crystalling vase in “The Crystalling - Part 1”, the Alicorns that taught Celestia and Luna when they were foals in the book, “The Journal of the Two Sisters” and an Alicorn that give the Good Fortune Garnet to the founders of Cloudsdale in the novel, “Beyond Equestria: Rainbow Dash Rights the Ship”.

maybe there just rounding it down. like discord could’ve been 1001 years ago and the pillars could’ve been 1004 years ago. the time scale doesn’t make much sense and nether do most of the back stories. my best guess would be that the pillars came first after defeating both the dazzling’s and stygian then some time later discord came into the picture along with tirek and scorpan. this is the type of thing that’ll make your brain melt if you think about it to much

Well I thought Equestria was founded 2,000 years ago. Because Grogar first ruled Equestria before it’s called Equestria for thousands of years or moons before it was founded.

All of these events in the picture does happen a millennia ago. And we don’t know why Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Queen Chrysalis and the changelings, Discord, Lord Tirek, King Sombra, the Dazzlings/Sirens, Nightmare Moon, Daybreaker, Pony of Shadows, Stygian, Cosmos, Star Swirl the Bearded, Rockhoof, Mistmane, Flash Magnus, Somnambula, Mage Meadowbrook, Lord Torch, Queen Novo, the King and Queen of Abyssinia, King Aspen, Rabia, Ira, and possibly Scorpan, Radiant Hope, Thorax, Pharynx, the Windigos, Gaea Everfree, and Grogar are still alive forever because they were immortals. Thset characters never die. But King Sombra, The Windigos, and possibly Nightmare Moon, Daybreaker, and Grogar died during the events of the show.

Theory: Twilights ascension caused a timey wimey ripple through time, causing a fixed point in time, which caused several time based enchantments to either fail, weaken or lock on at or in a specific time frame.

Sorry but I still find it hard to believe that all of these events happened 1000 years ago. Those are too many big events all in one year and it implies the MLP seasons that mention are all happening in the same year which has been faulty many times.

  • Princess Luna became Nightmare Moon and Princess Celestia used the Elements of Harmony to banish her to the moon.
     
  • Celestia and Luna first discovered the Elements of Harmony and used them to turn Discord into stone, and later on defeated King Sombra.
     
  • The Pillars of Equestria formed; banished the Sirens into the EQG World; Stygian was wrongful banished for a misunderstanding; fused with the shadowy spirit that turned him into the Pony of Shadows, and he and the Pillars were banished to Limbo.
     
  • Tirek and Scorpan invaded Equestria; Scorpan befriended the ponies and betrayed his evil brother, returning to his kingdom, while Tirek was imprisoned in Tartarus for his crimes.
     
  • Celestia and Luna were chosen to be the rulers of the newly founded Equestria.
     
    It’s possible that Equestria was founded 1,000 years ago. The only exception to all this was the time when Grogar ruled the land that would become the unified pony kingdom and was defeated by Gusty the Great. That was thousands of years ago.
