MLP Tales still is G1. It aired in 1992. G2 started in 1997 and ended in 1999.

I guess you’re wrong. G2 does have a tv show called “My Little Pony Tales”. Don’t you remember?

Here’s something only I find interesting: none of the MLP feature films have highlighted cast billings (“with”, “and” etc.) despite the reliance on one-off celebrity roles.
 
Another random tidbit: while most of G4 was copyrighted to Hasbro Studios, LLC, and the 2017 movie was copyrighted to a SPV, ANG was copyrighted entirely to Hasbro, Inc.

Unlikely. Pretty sure the G5 series will have the same characters, but with other voices and in a simpler 3D animation.

What do you think this is? The Beast Era from the Transformers franchise? You know this new movie is technically not a sequel to the 2017 G4 movie. Then, maybe this movie is not part of G5 at all. Similar to how in Japan, the Transformers: Robots In Disguise 2001 anime was part of G1 and set between the second season of the G1 cartoon as well as Scramble City and the Transformers movie in the Japanese version of the G1 Cartoon Timeline. Even though that the Robots In Disguise continuity is a different incarnation to the Transformers Franchise. So I think this New Generation series can’t be a sequel to any G4 media of MLP despite being part of it. Similar to how the Beast Era is technically not a sequel to any Transformers G1 media despite having some elements and facets from the Transformers G1 cartoon and Marvel Comics. Then maybe after MLP: “New Generation”, maybe will hopefully get a real G5.

Nope, it takes place many, many years after G4. Despite the different style and animation, it’s the same universe! Just like the original Ben 10 franchise (obviously not counting the 2016 reboot), different styles but same universe.

In Singapore or somewhere else precisely. It could still be a theatrical film despite not released in theaters in the US. That’s right. If movie skip theaters during COVID and release at home on demand in the US, it could still be a theatrical film.
