okay, again here’s another prime example Toonkryticky2k-grifter, pedophile, sentient shit-sack. When He was found out for grooming a 14 year old girl. His colleges tried to scare him into turning himself in and that they had the evidence to prove it. Well that’s where they dropped the ball-right on their toes. they were so worried about the incident getting leaked that they didn’t think of the ramifications it would bring. I’m only saying this because I grew up with an ex-cop for a step-dad (my biological dad drove longhaul). If you have incriminating evidence on a perpetrator, you DO NOT under any circumstances engage them with evidence. Because not only are you putting yourself in jeopardy but you also run the risk of jeopardizing any further investigation or case that could be filed against them in a court of law. so it went from what could have been easily an isolated incident had quickly been blown out of control. All the while deleted all of his social accounts just so he could try to weasel his way back into the community as well as others just so he could manipulate other underage persons for sexual favors.

so in other words, once word got out that Toonkrytick had his way with a minor and got off scott clean free, the dinner bell had been rung. So what I’m saying is if you come across someone that you know is out there trying to force their way onto kids (on the off chance of course) you report it to the proper authorities. Because last I checked there was pedo problem at the last bronycon and nobody did anything about that either except turn it into another drama thread.

The fandom isn’t 100% innocent, yeah, but the taints are heavier when the official material is doing it wrong and many times. While I don’t ask for perfection, I think various things could be done better. About the other question, isn’t G4 an acronym of Generation 4, so we must refer it as a The, because is The Generation 4 of My Little Pony?

Agreed. Despite of the legacy and the importance of the G4 in the fandom, the reality is that those who stained more that legacy were the writers and probably Hasbro too. Most of the memorable things from the G4 were made by fans after the departure of Lauren Faust and the Season 5, more or less. Not to mention Pony Life, a horrible spin-off to keep milking the G4 for the bronies who cannot let go their beloved series despite of how bad it ended and all the bad creative decisions in the ending and development of the last seasons. Oh, also, speaking of the film, yes it was pretty irrelevant and more like an excuse to put the rest of the existing kingdoms in Equestria that didn’t contributed too much, beyond amplifing the characters with extra toys to buy, of course.

It seems that every series these days that has gone on for multiple seasons is accused of having a bad finale or even a bad final season (regardless of it being merited or not). It seems rare when you hear a lot of praise for such things.

G4 wasn’t good. Yes, G4 started out great but at the end it turned into a total dumpster fire with many fim fans getting upset that the Grogar fight never happened and it got worse when fans found out that Twilight is immortal now and will have to watch her friends die of old age before her eyes at the end.

Basically, the writers of the series ruined fim for its fans and fim wasn’t a great series at all.

So because of the bad ending fim got, there’s a good chance that G5 will end up being a better series than fim was. Sorry, fim fans.

You don’t want to spread awareness because there’s far too many people that judge all fans based on what one random fan did. And there’s nothing you can do to stop people from doing anything. When people do commit a crime in general, you punish after the fact but nothing could have been done to prevent it.

Yeah, but when it’s apparent that you have a pedo problem in your own community, you don’t try to sweep it under the rug and hope it just goes away. You try to spread awareness of the issue in hopes that you can prevent it from happening again. Perfect commentary. This went from being a wonderful fandom to an absolute dumpster fire filled with toxic, entitled manchildren who took it way too seriously and would shame others for liking other parts of the franchise and act like G4 is the only one worthy of praise

When you have thousands of strangers who the only thing in common is that they like the same show, of course there’s going to be some that are like that. Fans are no more responsible for these other fans then someone who likes hamburgers is responsible for someone that also liked hamburgers and then killed people.

I’m not as naive as to believe that, there was all of the sudden you had bad people in the “community”. I was simply pointing out the abundant hypocrisy of it all. Where the fandom often touted it’s message of “love and tolerance” just really ended up being used as a means to quell any differing veiws or opinions that differed from their own.

I’m mostly speaking out how I actually feel about this fandom. I’m not just saying things just for the sake of gaslighting. (whatever that is.) But it’s been an ongoing issue since the beginning of this fandom.

“Don’t say things that could hurt other people’s feelings. But when children are being sexually accosted it’s okay.”

“Don’t speak about about your problems unless it coincides with one of the shows episodes because your entire life is relatable to a talking cartoon horse”

“If you ship one character with another character that is of the opposite gender, your a homophobe.”

“Donate to my Patreon or go fund me account and I’ll be your best friend.”

This is all just stuff that I’ve felt has been culminating for over the past decade. It has nothing to do with the show itself, it’s fine mostly. I’m talking about how you had an online community that went from being fun creative (I still think it is in some parts, it’s why I frequent this site so much) to where everyone seems to be expected to follow the status quo.

It’s like when you get people who get put in a position of authority or influence. ( I’m not talking about YouTubers, I’m just talking about life in general) and for a while the individual in question starts to feel like they’re a big deal. Like only their opinion matters, y’know it’s my way or no way. Well as time goes on they begin to feel bigger than what they truly are and just turn into massive douche bags. At that point, nobody wants anything to do with that individual leaving them without a leg to stand on or a pot to piss in.

Am I saying that I feel that everyone in the community is a self entitled douche? Of course not! I’ve came across some pretty chill people in this fandom over the years. But I’ve also encountered my fair share of ass-holes as well. I’m not saying that your one of them the latter I mean.

You’re attributing to malice what can much more easily be described by things that are far more mundane. It’s been 10 years. Unless the show was going to suddenly start breaching more complex topics than before, people are going to get bored of seeing the same old thing for a decade. Most shows struggle to exist for that long because they either have to shed their original identity or start repeating themselves. It doesn’t help that a lot of the original writers left before the end of G4. Pony Life seemingly flopped. There were multiple long hiatuses. And G5 isn’t generally considered on-par with G4 yet.

There have always been bad people in the community. The fandom started on 4chan. It never would’ve gotten off the ground if bad actors were all it took for it to fall apart.

I wasn’t saying that everyone who enjoys the show is automatically a Bronie. I was referring to those who identified themselves as such, y’know the ones who would go around and try to shove it down everyone else’s throat and announce their superiority as they claimed to be part of the “one true community”.

Only to find out later that they were just being used by everyone else so those people could move onto bigger and better things.

When you get down to it, the “Brony” fandom ended up as just another “I can’t believe I actually thought that was cool.” fads. People either outgrew it or they started to notice the type of crowd the “community” was actually drawing in.

Take Saberspark for example, he’s even admitted he doesn’t believe the Bronie fandom was the driving force behind the show and said it with a bit of disgust.

I can’t blame him myself. I mean would you want to be associated with a group that consists of (unfortunately) child groomers and grifters? I’m not saying that everyone who enjoys the show is a pedo or tries to pretend to be your friend just so you can give them money. But when everyone else turns a blind eye or tries to silence someone for speaking up about what is actually happening. It’s just a matter of time before people leave a community and it dies.

Kinda like how Bronies we’re trying to hype G5. Like “It’s going to revitalize the fandom. It’s going to draw in new fans to series. We’re going to be back on top and not be seen as a joke anymore.” All that copeium, and what did they end up getting? My Woke Pony-The Woke generation. Chuckles sorry I couldn’t resist the joke. But jokes aside I just see the whole thing as a cautionary tale of why you shouldn’t let something like a kids cartoon take over your life. The Bronalyisis committee is a shining example of that.
